    D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

Aye, I was thinking mostly from the perspective of transferring over a gross pose (either through i2i or control net) rather than details or intricate bits. Maybe Flux is a bad example/base model to use, unless there are some variations of it that generate really good at poses/anatomy.

    D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

Adding to what @Kichwas said, from what I can tell bing.com/create is the Dall-E 3 purely text-based one so you can't feed it an image or edits or tell it to take the previous image and iterate on it, but you get 15 fast credits per day before it switches to slow mode. Hmm, looks like there's...

Neat, was there a specific art style specified with these?

D&D General Race Has No Mechanics. What do you play?

I follow in a similar vein. For a species' 'mechanical' bits I want them beefy: dragon breath, flight, resistances, turning temporarily to stone, blasting shards of metal in a radius, shapechange, shadow walk, that kind of thing. Things that really denote the unique qualities of the...

Universal Fan Fests Reveals Massive Xanathar Puppet

Alas, if this was closer (it would be a ~7h drive) I'd be keen on checking it out for fun and hanging out with fellow ENworlders! Enjoy everyone, and please give us a visit report! :)

    What system for...

Interesting... does BW use the same "single roll at the start of the scene" concept? Or is that a MG specific invention?

    What system for...

Ah great, thanks for the details! So cool that it existed, but not a good one to crib from. Though... one roll resolving all the scene's conflict isn't necessarily an issue as it reminds me of how Mouse Guard plays (and maybe Burning Wheel as a whole as MG is BW derived, but I have no...

    What system for...

Which is often the chicken/egg hurdle for new toolkit systems for their adoption or increase in mind/game share. Lots of examples can help there, as those examples can provide the "pretty close" base needed to nudge people towards using it. (Which is why the Cortex Prime Spotlights not...

    What system for...

I second PbtA or Cortex Prime or FATE. Also makes me think of The Dallas RPG, though I have zero real exposure to the rules so don't know if they were an actual good fit for the genre. Was also thinking of perhaps FitD with a kind of episodic structure, but the Agon suggestion might even be...

    What system for...

If only the licensing wasn't nebulous/borked right now, I would also recommend Cortex Prime for its strong narrative feel and customizable elements to fully suit your game/campaign's genre and tone. Back to FATE, there's also the three (sub)versions (Core, Accelerated, Condensed) and the...

What does it take for an RPG to die?

I concur that "truly dead" might be an unlikely scenario these days. Using an RPG-adjacent game, I'm part of a semi-active community of Renegade Legion fans, though the game in its heyday was never super large (especially to it's Battletech sibling) and it's been out of print for 30+ years...

How Would Your Favorite Game System Handle This?

I think it's unfortunate as well. I'm not privy to anything behind the scenes, so I don't know the finances it was/would've taken to at least bundle the existing PDFs and sell on itch or something, but supposedly there are new Cortex products in the works so time will tell. Also, to veer...

How Would Your Favorite Game System Handle This?

Unfortunately, the Spotlight settings (that were not full-on rule sets nor provided any additional rules, just settings/campaigns that assembled the pieces of the core book toolbox as appropriate for the particular spotlight) won't be getting a PDF or print release. If you were in the...

How Would Your Favorite Game System Handle This?

It is! The core book can be bought from Cortex Tabletop Roleplaying Game | Dire Wolf Digital, and there's a great full rules primer for Tales of Xadia available here, which includes the Challenge rules. The ToX primer is also valuable as Cortex Prime itself is very much a toolbox of options...
