    Sounds reasonable to me. :)

    Babes of Gencon 2003

Women wear bikinis and low cut costumes at places like Gen Con and Renaissance Fairs to be noticed. If they pose for a picture in public I don't see what the big deal is? The purpose is to be noticed and titilate. Sorry, but if the pretzel-wench didn't want guys to think about excercising their...

Do you or have you played Polyhedron minigames?

Played a one shot "Thunderball Rally" game. It was pretty damn fun. I kept telling the group which 70's/early 80's actor would play each NPC. George Hamilton, Don Rickles, Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier all made appearances.

Your Favorite 3rd Edition Dungeon Mag Adventures?

I wholeheartedly second that. Easily the most well written adventure I've ever seen in its pages. Rich Baker is one of the great ones.

    Say NO to 3.5

Forgive me, rushlight, but that makes almost no sense. And the only reason I put "almost" is because we are at ENWorld. Again, what would you have him do? The designer of 3E comes out and says, "you know what, there are definitely some problems with this 3.5"....he then goes on to list them in...

    Say NO to 3.5

Duh. You know there is a version 3.67 planned, don't you?

    Say NO to 3.5

"Smithers, who is this HiLiphNY? I like the cut of his jib." :) I'm sticking to 3.0 and using the list of changes only to convert any 3.5 adventures that I buy or to have in case I would like to submit something for publication. Other than that, 3.0 works just fine for our group thanks.

    Say NO to 3.5

Yeah, he should just shut up and pay his $90 before he can have an opinion on it, right? Why rely on the review of one of the guys who actually wrote the 3rd edition anyway? Have you ever not seen a movie based on a friend or professional critic's review of it? Like most people, you probably...

[Necromancer Games] Announcing 'Tome of Horrors II'!

Easily the best monster book out there. It's shameful how good the content was compared to others - even "official" books. Great news, because Necromancer did such a good job with #1. My only concern is that this is going to be yet another project that pushes Bard's Gate into the ground. :(

I think Green Knight is a real small operation. I'm not even sure what they've contributed, per se, but they have kept the game around - which is probably enough. If they hadn't, I might have never found my way to it.

Chaosium also makes "Pendragon", an RPG set in Arthurian England. I just started playing this last week, and it is wonderful. It emphasized roleplaying more than combat, which is quick and deadly. The game actually has a mechanic for role playing through a system of "Traits and Passions". Check...

Indy folks: where can I get drunk at Gen Con?

One day, Billy, one day we will get together and go on a bender together. Now that my daughter is getting a little older, I am thinking that mayyybe next year I could go to Gen Con.

[Exp. Ret. Press] My package from Dallas arrived!

Downloaded the free "Magical Medieval City Guide". After reading it I just may buy the whole deal. Seems pretty well written and useful so far.

The DM, The Former DM, and the Wasteland in between

Welcome, Vanna. First off, let me complement you on your thread title. I am a connoisseur of such things and thought it very good. :) Your problem is a simple one. The ex-DM is an attention hogging turd. Like some entertainer who's best days of fame and glory are long since behind him, he...

In Search of the Best Module Ever

The first Ravenloft with Strahd was great, if not a bit cliched. The map was just killer. The original Dragonlance module, with Xak Tsaroth (or whatever that city was called) was also great. I wasn't a big fan of the stuff that came after, but man, that city was memorable. Wow.

Raise Dead now costs 5000 GP!

I agree - I've never been a fan of resurrection other than DM designed fiat. At some point there has to be an assumption of risk on the player's end. After listening to how some characters are resurrected 2 or 3 times it just makes me wonder how that can be any fun. There is almost no ultimate...

    ENWorld women

Until my wife started playing, she was glad I was into RPG's because she pretty much always knew where I was. Contrast that to someone who, instead of playing RPG's every friday night, goes out to happy hour with "the guys", and I can't see where any woman would compain. Occasionally my wife...
