    Wildshaped poison DCs?

I think that's the way it's meant to work. Look at the alternative, DC of what?, 13? 14? For a 15th-level character? Animals with poison ability are generally rather weak if you take away (or reduce the effectiveness of) their poison. And the poison DC for a 15th-level druid wildshaped into a...

Question about Druid wild shape ability

I've been thinking for some time now to simply sit down and write some house-rules on wildshape, separating it from Polymorph and Alter Self. While it's nice that they're trying to codify the rules, sometimes (like in the case of Wildshape) it only leads to greater confusion and frustration.

Any 3.5 druid spell-sheets out there?

Thanks, folks! These are seem very helpful. I still have to check out the link Joshua Randall posted, but so far Ghostmoon's link seems exactly what I've been looking for. And adding stuff (from various FR and core rulebooks) seems easy enough! Thanks again!

    2005 January-April Wizards products

It's probably either going to be another book on the fallen realms from the ages past (but, IIRC, that's not very likely. I think one of the designers said they won't be revisiting fallen ancient empires for the foreseeable future), or the book about Mulhorand, Unther and Chessenta and thei...

    2005 January-April Wizards products

Yeah, that's my guess as well... Since, so far, the books centred on the creature types (dragons and undead), it's extremely likely this one will follow the suite. And aberrations are the only ones I can think of that could be classified as "anathema"... a very slight case could be made for...

Any 3.5 druid spell-sheets out there?

I remember back in the 3.0 there were some good fan-made spell-sheets. I had the sites that hosted them bookmarked, but unfortunatelly I lost the bookmarks since then. So, if anyone could post a link to such a spell-sheet (preferably updated to 3.5, of course), I'd be very grateful. Thanks...

    Friar ideas

Take a look at the Cloistered Cleric variant in the Unearthed Arcana. As standard cleric, but poor BAB, d6 HD, 6 + modifier skill points, proficiency in light armour only, bardic knowledge and a bonus Knowledge domain, plus some additional skills on class list, as well as a couple of additional...

    Any good DM computer aides?

My DM called me tonight, and he's interested in programmes that can aid in DMing. Sort of like e-tools, only functional :) Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

    D&D 3E/3.5 Clerics in 3.5

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. I'm not saying that in order to play an effective cleric one needs to have a 16 in all stats, but -- similar to paladins, monks and bards -- cleric needs decent stats in the majority of his abilities. With the difference that paladins...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Clerics in 3.5

We considered something along those lines, but the player decided the character is now conceptually rather far from the cloistered variant (he's not much of a scholarly type). In any case, he likes the character as is. It's just that the cloistered cleric fits better his idea of a cleric (and I...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Clerics in 3.5

I can't speak for others, but I for one don't mind the role of a healer. What I do mind is the "blandness" of the cleric class. Based on their game stats (average BAB, decent HD, proficient in all armour types), it's clear they're designed to be a second-line combatants. Meaning you'll probably...

    Renaming Real-World Nations...

:o That's what happens when one rushes things... at first I was going general slavic, but then I realised it could be a bit too long of a post to say the same thing reflected in various languages, so I went with Croatian (as it happens to be my mother-tonge)... FWIW, in Serbian, it's also...

    Renaming Real-World Nations...

There's also the Croatian 'nijemci' (sing. 'nijemac', pronounced "nee-yem-ats" and "nee-yem-tsee"), meaning (wait for this) "the mute people". Germany, of course, is Njemacka (nye-mach-ka), "The Land of the Mutes"

    Renaming Real-World Nations...

Well, I started typing, and it turned out to be a bit of a large, and probably boring, histry of the Balkans... so, instead, I suggest this for inspiration. It's a bit of an what-if scenario :) And it features an independent Dalmatian state. What more could I ask for ;)...

    Expanded Psionics Handbook Play Use?

Yes, I'm aware of the standard energy powers damage augmentation, but the EM is just so darn good. Hitting up to five targets (generally, up to three, but in dungeons hitting all five targets is not unreaosnable), without a miss chance, and each target taking full damage... I thought about...

    Expanded Psionics Handbook Play Use?

I have a psion (kineticist) in my RttToEE game, and he is one very powerful character. Even the other players are starting to express some concerns about his power. I house-ruled Energy Missile (+2 PP gives you +1d6 and +1 DC), Dispel Psionics (+6 PP and you can dispel check becomes d20 +...

    XPH: Dispel Psionics house rules?

Just last night, a player, whose psion is about to reach 5th level, told me about the 3rd-level powers he's considering taking. Naturally, I looked them through, to see what they were all about, and whether there are any issues I'd have to deal with. I was very unpleasantly surprised (to say...

A couple of Magic Item pricing questions

Oh, the MotW price exactly follows the 3.0 formula (i.e. it doesn't include the modifier for the spell duration). However, the caster level of the torque is set to 6th, for some reason. So, its 6 x 1 x 2,000.

A couple of Magic Item pricing questions

Thanks for the insighful replies, guys! :) The Wings of Flying reference was helpful, as that particular item slipped my mind. However, that's one of the reasns I posted the question here, as I already told the player that the final price of such an item would be heavily dependant on the chosen...

A couple of Magic Item pricing questions

As a DM, I'm somewhat known for being a bit too stern and analytical when it comes to the introduction of new (i.e. player created) stuff, such as spells, magic items, feats, etc. So, now that some of my players are starting to plan the creation of a couple of items, I'd like some advice, so as...
