D&D 5E Why does VGTM has so little to do with FR?

...how is it misleading? It's some guy's musings on monsters, and it delivers extremely well in that regard. If you want FR specific content, they've already delivered that.

D&D 5E What Arcane Traditions would you like to see

Hah, well I like the idea for a hedge mage, but I just reflavor my druid into that for the same effect. :D

D&D 5E Tweak Instant Cure spells to fix whack-a-mole

Dunno if it has been mentioned yet, but I've found whack-a-mole is fixed pretty easily by adding a lingering injury from the DMG every time someone drops to 0. Getting knocked out and given 5 hp back shouldn't be business as usual, after all.

Wanting players to take in-game religion more seriously

Well, if the Gods exist and actively care, then it would make sense for them to cut clerics off at any time. Doesn't make any sense for druids, paladins, or bards in this edition, but clerics get their power directly from their deity... so turn off the faucet if that's what you want to do...

    D&D 5E Is he evil?

People being wrong in volume doesn't mean the act wasn't evil. It still was. If it was something that happened outside of the context of a game and people saw what was described on tape I suspect the issue would be much less debated; as it is a game we're discussing, people have a much harder...

D&D 5E Variants I am thinking of trying

Lingering Injuries: Tried them, love them. One common tactic in Fifth Edition is to have multiple healers in a party and just have a constant stream of healing word to ensure the bad guys are stuck playing an endless game of whack-a-mole with enemies who won't stay down for more than a turn or...

    D&D 5E Is he evil?

The answer is simple. Yes, the act was evil. The character in question is a murderer, and unless there is context that was omitted, being an unrepentant murderer makes you evil.

D&D 5E I need a cleric that gains a extra attack per round at 5th or 6th or something.....

If he wants to hit things and heal, there are lots of options. Druid, bard, paladin... to name a few. I think the idea of clerics being necessary for a party to work these days is just false. Druids and bards can pull off the healing role perfectly well, and they provide all sorts of other nifty...

D&D 5E Issue with 5th addtion oppurtunity attacks - SPOILER WARNING

Honestly, I'd strongly recommend learning to communicate your thoughts more clearly. Your original post was nearly incomprehensible to me, and for that I feel fortunate, because apparently there were spoilers lurking within. Though to address your primary complaint: Yes, your DM is right. One...
