D&D 5E Not Much Ado About Bless

Probably yes, but only because its less fun with the consistent effect. But back on the topic. Bless is not broken because it breaks Bounded Accuracy, in the same way Precision Strike, Bardic Inspiration, War Gods Blessing doesn't break Bounded Accuracy just because they stack with each other...

D&D 5E Not Much Ado About Bless

The reason is people don't like nerfs, unless its too overpowered like the original Healing Spirit. Also, people like to gamble. IME there's always times where you are just shy of a few points to pass a save or land a hit, Bless gives you a chance at that. I think its fun too.

D&D 5E How do you feel about PC abilities being nerfed by the DM?

No its not. "D&D is over-played and everyone is getting annoyed with it, please pick a different game."

D&D 5E How do you feel about PC abilities being nerfed by the DM?

I'd be ticked off because Moon Druids doesn't warrant a nerf. They have power spikes at certain levels, but overall they are balanced. Many classes have one or two subclasses that are on the higher end of the power curve, doesn't mean they should be nerfed. But above all, such attitude worries...

D&D 5E How on earth is this balanced?! Twilight cleric, more in-play evidence

Its hard to believe this is the same company that made MTG, can produce this and go like, 'Yep, this is fine. The numbers check out.'

    The question is: Why?

D&D General to-hit bonus based on Hit Dice

So a lv20 Barbarian with 20 Con would have +32 to hit? And you have to ask whats broken...

D&D General Playing D&D without combat

Playing D&D without combat is like sitting in a car without driving it. Is it possible? Certainly. Desirable? Probably not. Are you truly using the car? In your own definition, maybe, but not for its intended purpose.

D&D 5E Patient Defense / Deflect Missiles Buff

The simple solution is to make Patient Defense use a reaction instead of bonus action. It would then work like Shield, lasting a whole round with the Dodge effect. For Deflect Missiles, increase its throw back damage to 2 rolls of Martial Arts die, so that it doesn't feel like a waste of Ki...

    D&D 5E Is D&D combat fun?

Running combat is a skill like any other, and whether its fun or not depends on the DM. Some DMs just run 20 orcs in an orc ambush. Oh we have an extra player today? I'll throw in 3 more orcs. Others run worg riders, orc spellcasters, the orc warchief has a tentacle arm, and the orcs use...

D&D 5E If the DM forgets something about a boss, should the player remind him

Unless the intention was for the DM to burn his LR, i wouldn't remind him. So what if it gimps the monster? I didn't write the game rules.

D&D 5E Help me build a character around a bad feat

If you wrote down all the notes, why would you still need the feat?

D&D General Do players REALLY care about the game world?

I fully admit to having short attention span, and lots of times i do forgot which setting i am playing in, which NPC i am talking to, etc. Thinking about it, an interesting game world/settings doesn't interest me as much as being put in interesting situations. But in the end, its a game, and...

D&D General Martial/Caster balance and the Grease spell

I'm just scratching my head when OP came to the conclusion that Grease is too strong because martials don't have anything similar. What the what?

D&D 5E Do We Really Need a Lot of Gold? (D&D 5th Edition)

Yes I've heard that before, and i find that opinion quite stupid. If magic items exist in your setting, how else are they created? Drop from the sky? Obviously the legendary artifacts would not be sold over the counter, but the basic +1 weapons and armor should be. Its not believable that such...

D&D 5E Do We Really Need a Lot of Gold? (D&D 5th Edition)

Why would you NOT want a stronghold? Its a place for crafting, a place to sleep, storing your loot, and other downtime activities. Doesn't mean you should be constantly sitting in it. Its like the Avengers Tower, not every single Avenger is in there all the time. I always find the statement...

D&D 5E Is Treasure and Magic Items Important To You?

There's a difference between video gamey and gamey, and magic items is the latter. But its also fun, as long as its not just flat numbers boots like +1AC or +1 attack/damage. Its like getting a christmas present. You never know what you will get, and it allows for homebrew creativity, since its...

D&D 5E What is one hp of damage in real life?

Shower thought: If a human commoner has 4 hp, 1 hp is 25% of the total hp. Doesn't sound like a papercut now huh.

D&D 5E What martial options would make those characters feel equal to casters?

If 6 seconds cover 60M, but assuming he use his action to dash, its 30M. So his base speed should be about 100ft.

D&D 5E What martial options would make those characters feel equal to casters?

I dont want to feel equal, i want to feel awesome. If i were playing a Barbarian, i want to do Hercules stuff at high levels. Being able to jump more than my speed, shove more than 5ft, or grapple huge creatures would be a good start for example. Dont just push numbers, you need to break some...
