Yup. I had a high school teacher show the class the least successful airline ad ever. It showed killer whales swimming through an airplane full of water. The ad department did a big study to find out why. It plugged into people's fears of a crash, drowning and being savaged by killer whales.:)

It's a great idea and I think it looks just fine.

Just finished Desolation Island by Patrick O'Brian. It's the fifth in the Aubrey-Maturin series and they've all been great reads so far. I was planning on borrowing my brother's copies of the Sharpe novels this weekend.

I think Jackson's done a great job of translating LotR for the big screen. He's made the second half of TTT more entertaining than the book version. I'm hoping to see a lot more of Merry, Pippin and Eowyn in the extended edition.

Considering the real Siegfried Sassoon feelings towards Germans that's pretty ironic. One of my friends rolled up a new character yesterday called Griff Drifter.

I've enjoyed having Blackadder and Simpsons on DVD. I plan on picking up Cadfael and Monty Python soon. The series I'm really lusting after is Red Dwarf. They said the first season would be out in time for Christmas. Turns out that's only Region 4...it won't be out in North America til...

Congratulations everybody. Two of my three sisters-in-law just announced that they're expecting. On the same night and they're due the same week. First child for both, too.

My brother and I pooled our allowances on vacation to buy the red box with the Elmore cover-probably the 12th printing. We picked up Keep on the Borderlands at the same time. I still have the books and the d20 around here somewhere.
