You need to have the full version of Acrobat to save PDFs, not just the free reader.

Try writing over it with wet erase marker and then wiping it off. It might help fade it, but it probably won't get it all off. I also find that a weak solution of simple green helps.

I haven't had time to read the books yet (damned job!), but I'm actually looking forward to monster creation/conversion in 4e. I can remember spending hours the night before a game just advancing monsters with 3.x. 4e FTW!

That's a feature, not a bug. ;) It was always a hoot in 1st/2nd edition to see the players furiously searching for the tinderbox whenever a troll arrived on the scene.

I play D&D regularly, but I'd LOVE to play another game for a change of pace now and again. The new Traveller by Mongoose really brings back memories.

I roll mine up loosely when not in use. When I unroll it I put a rule book on each corner for about 15 minutes and after that it lays flat. Edit: Arrgh... Ninja'd again!

I've had lone remaining enemies surrender to the party paladin (3.5e LG paladin) multiple times in my Shackled City campaign. The paladin always grants quarter and turns the foe over to the town guard when in town. It realllly pisses off a few of the other party memebers, but hey, they still...
