It's Time To Pre-Order Your Copy Of Into The Borderlands

I would probably pick this up but $50 postage to the UK is a bit steep.

Tomb of Annihilation Is Here - What Do You Think?

I certainly didn't know this. Bullywugs come from the Fiend Folio. Where do Grungs originate?

    D&D 5E What is the perfect Fighter/Barbarian multi-class balance?

I am playing a Barbarian at the moment and have been thinking about this a lot. I think Barb 9/Fighter 11 or Barb 8/ Fighter 12 is the best to level 20. But I am not sure if either are better than Barb 20. My current Barbarian is level 6 and I am playing Storm Kings Thunder so I am thinking...

    D&D 5E D&D Beyond - What's it for?

Thanks, but I am not sure I understood anything after "campaign management tool".

    D&D 5E D&D Beyond - What's it for?

So I see D&D Beyond is coming out soon with a discount for early adopters. What I don't understand is its actual purpose. It can make characters. It is the books in an app. But what else is it? It's not a virtual tabletop is it? I'm intrigued but I am also struggling to understand the purpose.

D&D 5E [poll] Barbarian Satisfaction Survey

My main complaint is lack of things to do with the barbarian's bonus action. That's a whole part of the action economy the barbarian seems left out of. There are also a few too many dead levels, where the barbarian doesn't get much compared to others. Increasing rage damage could fix that.

    Low-Magic Campaign

Another vote for Adventures in Middle Earth as a great low magic version of 5e.

D&D 5E Nerfing Great Weapon Master

New to the thread but I wanted to chip in. I am a long time D&D player relatively new to 5e. I'm playing a barbarian who took GWM at 4th level. Yes the combination of GWM and Reckless Attack is powerful. But I don't think it is too powerful. People have already commented on casters and those...

    D&D 5E Upcoming BBoC...

Surely the simple answer is for them to reprint the player rules currently found outside the PHB in this new book? I quite like that approach. It consolidates the rules instead of spreading them across multiple sources. It's also more of the 1st edition approach where UA collected Dragon...

D&D 5E Warlock, Hex, and Short Rests: The Bag of Rats Problem

I think that is a totally different point. Meditation may well improve concentration but it improves concentration when one is engaged in other activities and not meditating. When one meditates one is not generally concentrating (on other things). So I would allow a monk to meditate during a...

D&D 5E Warlock, Hex, and Short Rests: The Bag of Rats Problem

To my mind, and giving the words what I consider to be their ordinary meaning, "concentration" and "rest" are mutually exclusive. If I am concentrating on something I am not resting. If I am resting I am clearing my mind and relaxing. I would therefore rule that you cannot rest and concentrate...

    D&D 5E Improving the Spear

The spear was pretty commonly used throughout history but seems well below par in 5e. I want to encourage players and monsters to use the spear in my next campaign (which will have more of a dark ages feel than high medieval). Does anyone have any thoughts on how to improve it? I am thinking of...

D&D 5E [5e DM Help] Keeping the lid on....what builds should I NOT allow?

As someone new to 5e what are the problems with these builds? What are infinite simulacra?
