Three more WIP sketches of Diddy Kong, and Mallow and Belome from the SNES Mario RPG: A rough size comp: Diddy Kong makes no sense. He's related to Donkey Kong, but he's not a gorilla because he has a tail. The ape he most resembles is an ourangutan, but they don't have tails either...

They need to make it so that you can turn it upside down.

Heh. Just for the record, the subs & wraps guys don't have it quite so bad as they seem to in that photo. It's actually a chain called "Badass Jack's" and their wraps are excellent. Here's a longer shot which shows more of their sign:

Finally got the excess framework cut off and the last little touch-ups done: It's been getting the thumbs up from customers, which is nice. It's a little surreal finally having it up there, seeing it every time I drive by.

Yep, just put it up yesterday.

It was the image from the cover of Wizard magazine's first issue. It's a picture by Todd McFarlane of Spider-Man wearing a wizard's cloak and hat, holding a magic wand.

Back in the fall I designed a new logo for my local comic shop/game store and today we finally put up the sign I built for them. Old and busted: New hotness: They just have to cut away the excess framework from the old sign and it's ready to draw nerds like moths to a flame.

Bit of a revision on the Koopa Troopa:

Quick size comp: The Goomba's about as tall as a human (6') with the Koopa at about 10' and the Mushroom Villager at about 4'.
