    [Libris Morits] Skinkites: bad design

It does sound a little goofy, but maybe the justification is that the Cha drain is a magical attack like a paralyzing touch or something. If it's (Sp) or (Su), that's probably how it works, but (Ex) might be a little hard to bite.

Think positive for me!(pics in last post on 1st page)

I've been out and somewhat about most of the weekend. Do they grow clean enough in glazes to fluoresce under a blacklight?

    Are these zinc silicate crystals?

Cohorts - how do you handle them?

We mostly seem to handle them in pine boxes.

race & feat combos that destroy my campaigns melee combat.

Yep - imagine your other players when he gets Dominated and sunders all of their magic weapons. Hehehe.

    This one had me rolling

Yeah, mid-century slang, bonehead mistake. Used a lot with bad plays in sports. I'd guess the writer of the strip probably was familiar with the other sense of the word, but perhaps the editor wasn't. Post-code comic book writers often took advantage of the "ambiguously gay duo" effect to slip...

    New Orleans - locals' suggestions

When I was there, all the locals told me all the locals go to Frenchman Street, and that's where I met all the tourists who asked where all the locals go. That being said, it is a cut above the most of French Quarter. I highly recommend the Praline Connection there for soul food - they even go...

    I hate cat-people, dog-people, lion-people, etc

Barry White? I, BTW, did once have a Torg sherpa swami character who had a yak companion, but we were just friends.

    Incidentally, "anthropomorphic" means "man-shaped."

Ah, but what about elfimals, dwarfimals, halflimals, and gnomimals?

    I hate cat-people, dog-people, lion-people, etc

That's an unfair mischaracterization. A plushie would never have a rendezvous with a real sheep.

Seeking a d20 translation of the GURPS version of White Wolf's Mage

I've seen the ST system conversion of the d20 translation of the GURPS version of Mage, so maybe you could just backtrack that one step.

Well, I'm a Yaktologist, and we do not consider our sacred texts to be "mythology," I'll have you know.

    I hate cat-people, dog-people, lion-people, etc

Well, in the original myth, the minotaur was a bull-human hybrid. King Minos and his wife Pasiphae angered a god (either Poseidon or Aphrodite) and so Pasiphae was cursed with an unnatural lust for a particular prize bull. Pasiphae prevailed upon Daedalus, the brilliant engineer, to develop a...

When I die, bury me with my dice!

Good idea - when you roll on the reincarnation table, having your "lucky" dice handy might not be such a bad thing.

I think virtually all of my campaigns have been dominated by anthropomorphic races.

    I hate cat-people, dog-people, lion-people, etc

WFRP beastmen all had more or less similar stats, with a few species-specific traits, and you could roll on a random table to see whether they were goat-headed, dog-headed, snake-headed, and so on. Usually when we encountered a pack, it would have a variety, and the players would await the die...

    I hate cat-people, dog-people, lion-people, etc

I've always figured they should just be a general class of monster, like Warhammer's "beastmen." Some kind of template.
