    eDragon: Starlock feats and powers

I don't know about balanced, but it looks pretty neat. New Starlock Paragon Path, and a Epic Destiny. I hope the other pacts get articles like this. (Maybe some other classes, too.)

    Swordmage Tips

I'm looking for any help anyone can give about playing a Swordmage. I was thinking of playing a Stormsoul Genasi, with Aegis of Assault. I know it only goes up to level 3, but I don't think I can hit that before the book comes out, so I should be fine. Any ideas for say, feats to take? Or...

    Dynamic Excel "Wiesbaden Charactersheet"

Also, on the attacks tab, when picking implements, there's no option for a Swordmage, who use their weapon. Wait, can I just select my normal weapon but use Int instead of Str? Ninja Edit: That would be a no, because then it adds weapon proficiency. Silly me, I should have realized that...

The Swordmage At-Will Sword Burst isn't on the dropdown for powers.

    Swordmage: Class creep too fast?

You know, I think this was mentioned in a thread somewhere, but I don't know where. Does anyone know how a Versatile weapon affects Swordmage Warding?

    Swordmage: Class creep too fast?

The set damage ones are Implement instead of Weapon. Swordmage moves seem to be evenly divided between them. Take the At-Wills, which the Swordmage has 4 of. The first two Weapon and use 1[W] + INT modifier damage. Also, both add extra damage based off either STR or CON (For Assault and...

    Swordmage: Class creep too fast?

In point of fact, all the At-Wills except for Sword Burst say Target: One Creature.

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

Hm, alright. So rather than buying a Magic Implement, he just buys a Magic Weapon. Still, he seems to be a bit disadvantaged. Afterall, +X Implements tend to have special powers... and the Wizard/Warlock/Paladin/Cleric holding them can still be holding a +X weapon, with it's OWN special...

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

Hm. Okay, I just noticed something. While Swordmages don't get their weapon proficiency bonus when using it as an Implement (same as everyone else) many of their attacks are Weapon, not Implement. Like Booming Blade and Greenflame Blade. Which means they DO get their bonus on many attacks...

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

BTW, has anyone else noticed that Swordmages don't get separate magical implements? They seem a bit passed over on that point. Sure, a Paladin can use a Holy Avenger as one. But they mostly have a Holy Symbol and a Magic Weapon. Two items. A Wizard can hold a Magic Sword in one hand, and a...

    FR Preview-Sword Mage and Genasi

Hm. Keeping in mind how little we've actually seen of Swordmage, does anyone think it's possible (or perhaps, viable) to multiclass it with Paladin? Because the concept really interests me, since they're both Defender versions of spellcasting classes. Err, also, does anyone know why certain...

How to detain an Eladrin Rogue? ie, teleporting

I dunno why everyone makes a big deal of this. For instance, DON'T HAVE BARS. This isn't the Old West. Have an actual room, with say, no windows. No, not even in the door. Now line of sight doesn't extend outside the room. Also, a blindfold works just as well, since then you can't see...

    Shouldn't most Rituals be free?

The problem is this isn't a case of people wanting Wizards to be able to do everything. This is wanting everything Wizards do to be useful. Why do I HAVE a Knock ritual, if there is never a reason to use it? If it exists, it should ALWAYS be useful somehow.

    FF style Dragoon v0.4

You know, I was thinking just the other day if it were possible to convert Final Fantasy to 4e. I've decided the easiest way would be using Final Fantasy Tactics, since it already uses classes and map based combat.

Can I put an orb on a staff?

I actually thought he meant using an Orb with a Quarterstaff, as in an implement and a two-handed weapon... which wizards normally cannot do. I just didn't know the answer, so I didn't give one to that. I had that thought too, like could I stick a blade on a Wizard Staff and call it a Scythe.

Can I put an orb on a staff?

Actually, I think the fluff for Staves already includes things like glowing orbs on the end.

    D&D 4E 4e: Death of the Bildungsroman

That's kinda ironic, isn't it? Since Lodoss War is so much based on D&D. In fact, I believe that, like Dragonlance, it started off as an actual bunch of played sessions.
