    Adamantite Bypassing DR?

Xarlen, I wish you wouldn't keep using the same reasoning that has already been refuted... Here's a sum up of my responses to Xarlen's opinions, while we were having this debate in another thread: "Special material" has nothing to do with adamantine. "Special material" is meant to refer to...

    Killing a Nishruu is easy...right?

By "special material", that passage means something other than silver. There are other types of special material damage reduction, such as wooden (a monster in one of the modules) or mithral (example given in the part about DR). This is meant to be for a nonmagical special material that can...

    druids and dire animals

I would say yes, especially considering that if you do the math and apply advanced HD to regular animals, you almost always come out with something very close to the dire version of that animal (it works with wolves....a 6HD wolf would be almost the same as a 6HD dire wolf, if you include the...

    Lycantrophes, Polymorph Self and Healing

Nope, no limit. Pretty much all creatures with natural alternate form abilities can do this, so it's pretty cool for them. And it's extra cool for Forsaker werewolves who can't get healing spells cast on them ;-)

    Killing a Nishruu is easy...right?

A masterwork weapon does not get a +1 enhancement bonus to attack, it just gets a +1 bonus. It does not have an enhancement bonus because it does not also do an extra point of damage, and so therefore it will not bypass DR. DR is bypassed by magical effects, but that does not mean it is...

    Lycantrophes, Polymorph Self and Healing

Er, yeah...with the last comment I was kinda being sarcastic, since like 3 people had gotten it wrong when just reading the section would give the answer ;-) But I suppose sarcasm doesn't translate too well in a messageboard....ah well.

    Lycantrophes, Polymorph Self and Healing

This question is answered rather easily by reading the description: "Upon assuming either form, the lycanthrope regains hit points as if having rested for a day." So I think they probably do, but I dunno....anyone else have an opinion? ;-)

    Killing a Nishruu is easy...right?

Since when does adamantine not beat DR? In the SRD it just says that you need an enhancement bonus equal to the DR number in order to beat DR..so why won't adamantine? It's got an enhancement bonus, and that's all it needs. And some other things that might suggest this.... 1)lycanthropes have...

    Poisons - Rules Clarification Sought

There are also poisons that cause permanent drain of statistics...I believe there are ones for str and con in the DMG. But I should mention that there is one thing that you got wrong in your initial interpretation...a poisoned character must make the second save regardless of if they succeeded...

    Killing a Nishruu is easy...right?

I would hav eto disagree....considering nishruus don't actually do anything, and only have a fly speed of 20, and have a terrible AC and everything, I would have to say that they definitely do negate magic swords that touch them. Otherwise, they would be easier to kill then goblins, just with...

[FEAT]Springboad Step or How to get 5 more feet away free!

I should add that I don't necessarily think this feat is a very good idea either. It's basically giving someone the advantages of pounce and spring attack at the same time, and also as it is worded it could be abused to allow two five foot steps rather than one 10 foot step, which would add...

[FEAT]Springboad Step or How to get 5 more feet away free!

Level 9? I can do it in 5, easy. Halfling Fighter4/Rogue1 Start with 20 dex, 10+ int Get Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack as fighter bonus feats, Run as level 1 feat, and whatever else you like at level 3. Put your bonus stat point into dex, making it 21 at level 4. Max ranks in jump and tumble...

    Alter Self

Well I've never been a huge fan of sean k reynolds anyway....but I really don't see any problem with allowing low-light vision through alter self. I suppose the reason is because it's a little too complex for someone to know how to change their body in that way, but I figure if polymorph self...

    Adamantine Arrows?

Interestingly enough, there are bows made these days that are made out of metals.... and a "composite" bow may be wooden/adamantine or something...you never know what kind of mischief those dwarves can cook up when they're at their forge....

Oh yeah, Robert Wiese's my new best friend...

Well, I suppose I exaggerated a little, really ;-) They like the rp, etc. etc., it's just different than anything they've played before, so they have to adjust. And besides, if you knew the players in my group, you'd know that complaining is the norm...even the greatest of DMs will still hear...

    Adamantine Arrows?

Not only that, but steel is also heavy, and items made of steel and adamantite have no difference in weight...so I don't think that it would be too much of a problem.

    Adamantine Arrows?

Well, first of all the mechanics of adamantine (-tite, -tium, whatever) in the game are very strange, because one would think that the density, or the adamantine:steel (or whatever else) ratio would determine the enhancement bonus, rather than the amount that is used. However, even by these...

Oh yeah, Robert Wiese's my new best friend...

A very good point has been made in these last two posts. This is a problem that I run up against in my nearly-no-magic campaign...the players are constantly complaining about how I never give them magic and how I keep their money to a minimum so they have a hard time buying anything. They say...

    Alter Self

Actually, from a scientific POV, infravision would work....ever heard of FLIR? It's what the army uses for night missions, they put it on a lot of helicopters (it's made it's way into police choppers too), and sometimes in goggles, and it lets you see infrared. It just like normal vision...

Free Will and Geas/Quest (and Lesser Geas/Quest)

Not to mention the fort save to avoid the sickening, too ;-) I still think it's a weird spell, though...too many interpretations, too few chances to resist, etc. etc.
