Rokugan wasn't the best fit for the 3E Oriental Adventure setting. Hopefully Remathilis is spot on and the reinvigorate Kara-Tur as an AP with a full on 'Adventurer's Guide' to boot.

The delineation between what we are and aren't okay with when it comes to healing confuses the bejezus out of me... If HP are all 'meat' and only magic can instantaneously heal, then are you allowing short rest HD healing? If you got an arrow in the knee in the last fight and the Cleric can't...

A second for Tome Show, good stuff! I also listen to RPG Academy, they are VERY prolific. Dungeon Master Block is chock full of great advice for a budding DM, also good stuff.

My method: Let them roll, if - after the rolls have been tallied into what would have been point buy - their rolls are less than the allowed point buy amount they can raise stats to accomodate. Easy-Peasy, fair, fun and allows for some higher stats.

With this in mind where, then, would Terry Pratchett's Disc World series go? I only ask because I'm borrowing heavily from him for my next campaign.
