New Bullet Points up at WotC: Gadgety Goodness

the reason i think atleast some of the mecha could be man portable si that atleast the smallest are listed as large weapons. and large weapons are man-portable, but needs to be deployed before use. those that go into the huge range im not sure about tho. starship weapons do not drop below huge...

    Energy Weapons VS Ballistic Weapons

hell, breach loading cannons where considerd more or less insane at one time iirc. but that was before they worked out all the issues. now its standard on all warships, even tho one is more and more moving to missiles for ship to ship engagements...

New Bullet Points up at WotC: Gadgety Goodness

remember to throw in a gadget that turns mecha weapons into man portable weapons. thats the best solution i have come up with so far when faced with taking down a mecha without using another mecha (alltho given that im then using mecha weapons its very close to using a mecha).

    d20 Dark*Matter: ongoing review

or it could be that the editors keep forgetting that the rules have changed. they use the same terms and all so its easy to miss on a readthru. and it sounds as if those abilitys/powers are just verbatim copys of the d&d variants, with no balance checks (talk about taking a shortcut. if they are...

What do/don't you like about mecha

well, sorry for trying to inform some people on this thread: "hey, they did come out with rules for mecha as walking tanks. it just wasnt in d20 future". it seemed to be one of the big issues people had with the mecha rules from d20 future...

What do/don't you like about mecha

ok, badly worded post. but what i was trying to say is that d20 future tech (that follow up soft cover that wotc released) have rules for turning the d20 future mecha into battletech style walking tanks.

What do/don't you like about mecha

funny that people complain about the mecha as armor thingy. go get d20 future tech. it have rules for going mechwarrior/battletech rather then bubblegum crisis ;)

New Bullet Point up at WotC: Gamemaster Calls

hmm, this thread reminds me that i keep wondering if the increased damage gadget in future tech adds +1 to the rolled damage or +1 die to roll. the former seems like mostly useless for something that can only be taken ones...

    Gencon, WOTC, and D20 Modern

well, the problem seems to be that anything more then a big list of guns would be a d20 future or something in the making. ok, so with a name like weapons locker they could have trown in some extended spell and psionics lists, but the magic bits coverd by urban arcana (did it allso extend the...

    Gencon, WOTC, and D20 Modern

hmm, may i ask why? isnt the book just what it sets out to be, a big collection of guns? and while im on that subject, how does it compare to that other book of guns for d20 modern, ultramodern firearms?

Star Wars: Credo of the Grey Jedi . . . I chose something else!

the more one reads up on any light vs dark belief system, one will find that they are quite arbitrary when streched. you can see that when anakin is asked to spy, and him stating that its against all that the jedi have tought him so far. there is a reason why real life laws seperate between...

Star Wars: Credo of the Grey Jedi . . . I chose something else!

hmm, there is allways kyle katarn (or whatever his name was). in jedi outcast one can pull from both dark and light powers, without forgoing the other. to me a gray jedi isnt one that wants to take the best of both without the penaltys. but one that see that somtimes, one do have to dip into...
