For me, Healing Surges are more Pulp than Video Game. Indiana gets the crap kicked out of him, then gets his second wind and boffs some Nazis (minions of course!). In my opinion, 4E owes a more to cinematic pulp action than MMORG action.

Definitely going. Gen Con is pretty much the one time a year that I can relax and be with people who enjoy the same things I do. The rest of the year I wear the slacks and tie, keep my head down and play stupid in order to earn a living, but at Gen Con, I can be passionate about what I love...

This. We aren't losing that many people to video games. Rather, more non-geeks are playing video games. A small fraction of those will make it to WoW, and a small fraction of those will make it to RPGs. Rather than the bane of table-top games, I bet we see a growth in gamers as geekery becomes...

Picked this one up because of the reviews. Thank you! It's a treasure for my dragonborn PCs. I saw on Goodman's coming soon page that they have Eladrin in the works. I'm hoping they do the entire suite of races, and maybe some pickup races, in the handbook series.

IMO, Goodman Games is becoming the only player in the OGL games. Everyone else is too sporadic, or all PDF. On topic, I have Dungeon Denizens and it has proven its utility over the last few sessions. The Fiend Folio of 4E. I'm thinking of getting it in PDF, just so I can print out specific...

He's really stealing the script these days. Everyone else exists to give him the spotlight. You can tell which character come easily to Rich.

Re: Fudging No worries. I did fudge in 3.5, ALL the time. To a point, my monsters died when it was most "dramatic," and whooped arse when they needed to, but never so much so that the players caught on. I basically cheated non-stop. But it wasn't true to the spirit of the game. A good 3.5...

The Greyhawk box set had a sweet weather generator in the glossography. (Accounting for latitudes and all that.) Don't know if we ever cause to use it...
