    Inequality of Skills

It in Asgard #6 and it is a very good article. However, it shows just how good the profession skill can be. I reread the PHB text on profession and it specifically talks about abstractly making a living with any given prorfession but then it goes into being able to handle common problems...

    [3.5E] Weapon Familiarity!

Since you use these rules does it cause the majority of Dwarves to use the "exotic" weapon. I am not sure from your post but it seems that you don't apply this to the Dwarven Waraxe because in all likelyhood if you did all dwarvers would then be using them as a superior weapon. I don't think...

    [3.5E] Weapon Familiarity!

Well, that would certainly be more in line with what it looks like is happening with dwarves but it would necessitate the addition of the Elven Thinblade into the standard rules not that I am against that. I guess we will have to wait and see. M.

    [3.5E] Weapon Familiarity!

I don't particulaly care one way or the other on weapon familiarity. I don't think it was bad before but I don't thinks it that broken now. I guess we will just see more dwarven fighters with waraxes now. One thought I had regarding elves was how their free proficiency with longsword works...

    X-bows at point blank range

Do you think it is necessary to have a +5 bonus to the opposed reflex save roll? It would allow lower level characters a good chance to get the drop on higher level ones but I am not sure it is necessary. Your list of setups where this can occur looks good. I am not sure what timing you had...

    X-bows at point blank range

I am looking for rules to simulate a bow, crossbow or gun aimed at someones head (or a knife at the throat). Due to the nature of Hit Points in D&D high hit point characters are generally not threatened by being in this situation and will probably just take a hit and continue fighting. I would...

    Inequality of Skills

Wow, I guess in my games we are just not applying Use Rope in as many situations as others. I can see some situations where we used rope but the GM did not have use make any rolls could have been used there. Somehow though, I still don't see having a lot of my characters take it - I guess I...

    Inequality of Skills

I completely agree that there are some skills that are woefully underpowered and underused. Intuit direction is probably the worst - I would simply add this ability to the Wilderness Lore (or Survival) skill. Use rope is another one that seems just too specialized and mundane. I guess it can...

    Forsaker PrC questions.

Since inherent bonus do not stack what do you do with the extra 4 points after you've added one to each ability? I originally made the mistake of thinking that you could add +10 to one ability (for smackdown possibilities) but you are limited to a +5 max on an inherent bonus. Then I found out...

    Natural spell

I think I am in agreement here. None of the other classes have major abilites that become unaccessable in conjunction with some other ability. Even normally incompatible things like a Wizard wearing armor allows some chance of success. I would say that it was necessary to add the Natural...

    MotW Toughness Feats

As long as you keep the fortitud requirment it sounds OK to me. In fact I like that it forms a chain. But I don't think these particular feats would really see that much abuse anyway. M.

    MotW Toughness Feats

If you did this would you restrict characters from taking each feat more than once? Once Dragons' toughness is reached, a character could take it over and over again at a level lower that would normally be allowed. As it stands a single classed fighter can only take Dragons' toughness at...

    MotW Toughness Feats

Though this feat can certainly be abused if creating a high level character from the start (an example exists in the smackdown thread) I am not sure it would be so overpowered in acutaly play. As CRGreathouse said, toughness was always considered a weak feat, usually taken by wizards and...

    Transporting Large Miniatures.

Chessex makes several different figure cases. Though none are really suitable for very large figures. Many gamers I know use pistol cases to carry miniatures. I believe you can find very inexpensive ones and they are good for larger minis because there are no cutouts - just the eggshell type...

    Question regarding Lasher PrC

If you check under the entry for Heavy Crossbow (actually Crossbow, Heavy) on Page 100 of the PH it explicitly states that TWF cannot be used with ranged weapons. Ambidexterity does reduce some of the penalties. M.

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

If you do this you lose the ability to rage I believe. That makes you go down 40hp. M.

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

This is true but since we are talking about Maximums here it is possible to get 90 extra HP and that is what I would consider. (Normally when Empower and Mazimize stack, you get the Max, 60 in this case plus half of what you roll, average of 17.5 in this case). Unfortunately on Page 25 of...

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

I tried this and all I could do was break even. Because the sorcerer has a bad Fort save it throws off when you can get the high toughness feats. I added some extra classes in the boost the save (Ranger, Fighter) more quickly but in the end I got the same number of HP. Unfortunately...

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

Now this is kind of funny. Plain old Toughness is not on the Fighter's bonus feat list but Dwarf, Giant and Dragon Toughness are. In the first paragraph of the second column on Page 20 in MoTW it says The other one I thought was odd as a fighter bonus feat was Multidexterity. Basically...

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

I thought they were since they are marked with an (*) in MoTW. M.
