    Roleplaying outside the U.S.

Since I started playing (around 1990) d&d has always ruled the market in Israel, back then it was mostly the red box d&d, and ad&d 2nd edition. Nowadays the market is more diverse but still d&d 3.5 is king. I live near the only serious gaming store in Israel and they carry a fair amount of...

do we need another mapping program

I thought about writing it in c++/qt which would make it cross platform (linux/mac/pc) quite easily. Redrobes - Regarding dundjinni I know a lot of people use it and I've tried it too, and the results are very (very!) nice. However, it is soooo slow and crashes (at least on my computer) all the...

do we need another mapping program

Following this thread which reminded me of my ancient(7 years old) mapping program I started thinking of creating a new version. What I had in mind was the following: A battlemap creator, you select the size of the map in pages (1 page, 2x2...) and are presented with a grid to paint on. - You...

    Map-making software

I'm really flattered that people still use that :) I haven't touched the code in over 7 years. I've thought about doing a new version from time to time, but with all the commercial options available today I didn't think anyone would be interested. lior

Guess I'm not joining the Israeli army.

Don't get too worked up guys, the story's just a pile of !@#$, simply untrue. It was published in Israel back when and was shown to be just some journalist's pipe dream Lior

How many countries have you entered ENWorld forums from?

I've done quite some traveling in recent years, and checking out what's new at ENWorld is part of that, even if I'm at the foot of the Himalayas in Nepal, or in a small town on the coast of Vietnam. It made me curious to see if others do that too, visit ENWorld to get some sense of home while...

Need Help for an Sharn based adventure

One of the first adventures I ran for my Eberron group (Session log wiki) also involved the Boromars and the Daask. One of the pc's who was a freelance photographer (don't ask) accidentally took pics of a secret meeting between the Daask leader (Cavallah) and the daughter of the Boromar head...

ECL and CR in Mutants and Masterminds (and other games)?

Thank you all for your advice. I'm a pretty experienced DM (with D&D and D20) so I've managed, even on our first session of M&M. But trying this new system made me see in a new light how important the encounter evaluation system is in D&D/D20. thanks again :) lior

ECL and CR in Mutants and Masterminds (and other games)?

Yesterday I ran my first M&M(2nd edition) game in which the four heroes, defeated the insidous plan of Dr. Flamingo and his cloned fighters. During game preparations I came to ask myself, how do I know how tough to make the encounters? The only way to measure power in M&M it seems is by Power...

    2nd Edition: Historical Reference Books

Really? I have them all, bought most of them at the end of 2nd edition at a very low price, but haven't used them ever. Maybe I'm just not a historical oriented gamer but I didn't even enjoy reading them too much... If any roleplayer (in Israel) wants to buy 'em off me I'll be glad to get rid...
