Is this an evil act, or not?

I would think that good clerics, paladins, and other good ecclesiastical types would aspire to doing the BEST thing rather than just the GOOD thing.

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

The Marikon on the visio screen says, more sternly, "Prisoner Aurthahz, REPORT!"

Boy, not just irritating, but PERSISTENTLY so, and an idiot to boot. You see, it's people like that, that keep me out of most conventions. I just don't find people like that at weekly game groups.

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

The visio screen is far too big to fit in a satchel. It's about a foot and a half in diameter, and weighs easily 50 pounds. It also will not work unless it's wired in. While Jim is shaking Morguk, the visio screen comes on, and an attention signal is heard. The image on the screen is of a...

[Chapter 1 - OOC] Iron Lords of Jupiter

Bone-mender knows that there are no lunth crystals in the tower. It's part of the system that keeps everyone stuck here. The exterior of the tower is always watched, and the only exit is 100 feet off the ground.

Oh, I've definitely got plans. Basically, you have to calm down long enough to have some downtime to learn the language.

Actually, it didn't come from "Jew", it came from "Gypsy".

Is this an evil act, or not?

It would not have been within the power of the PC's to save the innocent infants, but it would have been within their power to ease their passing. It would have been a supreme act of Good, worthy of a saint, to risk catching the plague in order to make the innocent babies as comfortable as...

    Crafting Armor in Medieval Times

That REALLY depends on what you're making it from. Are you making the armor from ingots of iron? Plates of armor-grade steel? An inventory of prefabricated parts?

    Crafting Armor in Medieval Times

The unique thing about making mail is how little of the process requires real skill. Making wire, making links, and hooking those links into sheets of mail doesn't take much expertise. The only expertise comes in taking those sheets of mail and fitting them into an armor garment for the wearer.

    Crafting Armor in Medieval Times

Keep in mind that SCA armorers generally use modern tools and modern materials. Modern tools, being better, lessen the time it takes, while modern materials, being harder, increase the time. Softer steel is easier to form. Yes, mail takes a long time, but remember that an armorer usually has...

Is this an evil act, or not?

It is a good act to comfort the dying. Being good isn't easy. I allow anyone with Knowledge (religion) to make a check (difficulty depending on the stickiness of the situation) to know what their religion teaches would be the right thing to do in a situation.

    Crafting Armor in Medieval Times

You are right in that armorsmiths did not, in fact, build entire suits. One man made gauntlets, another made helms, another made breastplates, greaves, vambraces, and other large pieces, and another made elbow and knee joints. Another craftsman would take the pieces and fit them to the wearer...

    Players from Hell.

I was at a con once ( a VERY small con, in Massachusetts) and during character creation, we had the option of selecting "Jew," "Pole," "Black" etc. for our character's race. No mention was made of advantages or disadvantages associated with it, but from the selection available it was pretty...

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

Jim starts stomping out fires on the floor. Between the two of them, they make solid progress, and while the smoke is getting thick, within a few minutes all the fires are out. In the meantime, Morguk has assembled a treasure trove of crystals and iron parts.

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

There are no weapons already made, but there are sufficient parts to build at least three blasters, given time. In his investigations, Morguk uncovers a visio screen.

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

The first fire that Alehandro goes after is the one on the desk where the papers are. He is able to put it out quickly, and notices among the singed pages, excellent drawings of the Pentagon, the Space Shuttle, and several of what look like space probes.

Perhaps I wasn't clear; the flames are not beyond fighting at this point. I was just reminding you that they are there.
