been goofing around with a warlock /barbarian with a glaive which is interesting might redo as hexblade since the pact of blade appears to allow it concept is less a patron and more that she is possessed by a spirit think vampire hunter D and other like characters

just go with what looks fun , well if playing in society a little min maxing is a good idea :) there are some decent magus guides out there, there one of my favs , but i would recommend that for your 1st magus go with a pure magus or maybe a hex magus there the easiest to make and play IMHO

nah 5th ed has years at this rate before it has near pathfinders range of options,thats not to knock 5th but its very simple and i find it a bit restritive though it has started to add enough options to make it interesting for me and i run and play it along with a few other games

finished the book, its well done with a decent selection of monsters and a large # of playable races, several of which are fairly neat. though surprisingly no playable people from eox.
