    PHB2 Classes simply better?

Erm... fighters? Technically they can mark with a ranged basic attack or a special-case like dragonborn breath weapons, but their mark does absolutely nothing besides the -2 if they aren't in melee range.

    PHB2 Classes simply better?

Presumably the fact that paladins start with proficiency in all armors and shields; the equivalent of 7 feats. Paladins start with 10 + Con surges, more than any other defender. I assume linking feats to that was a typo. I agree, which is why I've just overhauled the paladin into a more...

    Ongoing aura's and saving throws

Other than the fact that it uses about twice as many words to say fundamentally the same thing, you mean? :)

    Eberron- Siberys Dragonmarks

Nothing official, though Keith Baker has said he hopes to get them addressed in a Dragon article sometime soon.

    Ongoing aura's and saving throws

Because then you don't have creatures staying slowed when they leave the aura, which is the design goal of the power. It's really not that complicated. If you enter the aura, you're slowed (save ends). If you start your turn in the aura, you're slowed (save ends). If you save at the end of your...

    Any experience with Destructive Salutation?

To be pedantic, though, that's just for using implements, which the PHB already states. The wizard class feature Arcane Implement Mastery, on the other hand, just says "wizard power," with no mention of wizard paragon paths or epic destinies. That's the key difference.

    PHB2 Classes simply better?

Your own allies do not grant enemies cover, but an enemy's allies do grant other enemies cover. There's no way to accidentally hit the cover instead of your target, though.

    Heroic PC death

Perhaps an obvious question, but... you have made sure the player knows you're setting up a heroic death for him and expect a noble sacrifice, right? Because otherwise "noble last stand while his allies escape" can quickly turn into "TPK as the party refuses to abandon their friend."

    Slaying Action (Feat)

You can't get two sneak attacks and +2 to all damage dice on both sneak attacks, but you can absolutely get two sneak attacks and the extra damage on the second one. I'd say that's probably by design, yes.

    Ranger's Twin Strike ...

You're missing the point. Ranged rangers aren't gimped, archery fighting style rangers are. If you play a ranged-weapon ranger, you're honestly better off taking the Two-Blade Fighting Style than the Archery Fighting Style: Archery gives you a single bonus feat, which you can take anyways, while...

    Non-combat uses for martial powers

Assuming there's a window in the first place, yes--and depending on how closely your campaign world hews to actual medieval technology, "window you can see through" isn't necessarily a redundant phrase. But they won't be hidden when they do it, and if they don't have a way out they're stuck...

    Technomancer Class?

Pick up the Eberron Player's Guide (or wait a few more weeks till the content hits Insider) and let him play an artificer.

    HELP! Avenger issue

And that's really an edge case, too--Avengers really don't get much out of having a very high Dex/Int, so not only is he paying a heavy feat tax, he's going to be sub-optimal as a striker. And IMHO, at least, being good at your job in 4E is way more important than being a couple of points harder...

    Non-combat uses for martial powers

PHB p. 286: "Line of Sight: You have to be able to see your destination. No Line of Effect: You can teleport to a place you can see even if you don’t have line of effect to it."

    power attack question

Personally, I'd rather not let bastard swords overshadow two weapons for the cost of a single feat (they're already better than longswords thanks to d10 damage, and that's fine--but allow them to be treated as two-handed weapons in all respects and they're better greatswords than greatswords...

    Monster Basic Attacks

Basic attacks are denoted by a circle around the attack icon (MM p. 7). So, yes, the abyssal rotfiend would use skullsplitter when it charges. Conjure abscess, however, is not a basic attack (no circle). The rotfiend does not have a ranged basic attack, so it cannot take advantage of effects...

    Murdering the multi-attack-stat class

Some musings on the topic of amping the paladin up into a more respectable, less-psychotically-MAD defender has led me to a realization: I don't like classes having attacks that rely on multiple ability scores (i.e. paladins attacking with both Str and Con, clerics with Str and Wis, warlocks...

Does taking the ritual caster feat....

Also, taking the Ritual Caster feat does not give you a free first-level ritual. The character would have to buy a book and any rituals he might want.
