Does HD play into the ECL? Like a Minotaur has 6d8 + Level adj of +2, so at level 1, it's a levle 9 ECL?

ok, i want to create a Minotaur char level 1, but am having trouble understanding the ECL. A minotaur has 6d8 hit dice and a +2 Level adjustment. Does that make him at level 1, ECL 9?

I'm of the faith that what's fair for the PC's is fair for the NPC's.

They would get Sneak attack for the 1 round, due to "Surprising" the target. They would need to hide again, at a -20 to hide, inorder to get a Sneak attack on the next round. That DM is allowing for a MinMax player to take the game out of control.

Well it's my belief that they would just go back to attacking the next thing that moves close.

well i can't see a Dm allowing a Werebear char, but to get bit by one would be awsome. But for a level 20 build just using feats, how high could one get str? But i'm seeing the trend that Druids can do everything and anything.

With only WotC books, a starting 18 in str, no War Hulk PrCl, no magic items and a finish at level 20, what build would have the highest raw str score. my friends build is: Shifter (str) Barb (rage) Were Touched Master Reckless rage can anyone get to 50+ str?

Well i talked to my DM and he says that with Rapid Reload, he will allow me to "Laura Croft" the reload and free action as many as i want. When has DnD been about Physics? But what you guys are saying is that with hand x-bows, i'm limiting my options. Eh, i'm ok with that. But the challenge...

I'm sorry, i should have specified. Just WotC books. 2 Flaws are allowed. And if you can build it to level 9 that would be awsome. Standard points buy is the way to go. I think i got everything.
