Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Sneak Peeks (Old thread)

No. In those extra rounds you can do other stuff. Wizards dont have to be "one trick pony".

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Sneak Peeks (Old thread)

Sigh, if they want to balance spellcaster all they need to do is for starters make spellcasting a full round action that provokes attack of opportunity. Aslo have spellcasting Tax the individual so only one spell can be cast every few rounds. That will at least give a few rounds for the...

You dont need a charm to do that, you could say they tricked him into it.

Now why is it so hard to come up with an explanation for fighter dailies when you can do what you just did so easily?

    Goodman Games 3.5 Revival

I have heard otherwise. I have seen FLGS refusing to order 3pp because it would only end up in the bargain bin. I have talked to players who refuse to buy anymore 3pp cause it's all considered crap now. The prejudice is there, its not the only factor involved but is there and wont go away...

    Goodman Games 3.5 Revival

After the OGL 3E 3pp product bloat a lot of people are wary to ever buy the non-Wotc stuff. Sadly this sentiment seems to have carried over to 4E, it may take some time until tje market regains faith in 3pp products. ( Even though some of them are very good, the prejudice is still there :( )

101 roleplaying descriptions justifying martial dailies

Okay well I will give you a few explanations. 1-100 Read the actual fluff descriptions in the powers descriptions. 101 A wizard did it.

Lion Voltron of course...I have no recollection of "multi space car Voltron" nor will anyone ever be able to prove it even existed.

101 roleplaying descriptions justifying martial dailies

Its all about the narration. I guess we need to drag the old Voltron example again: Voltron has a signature move where he takes out his sword and cleaves the Big bad in 2, episode over. Theoretically Voltron can do this every single time, whenever he wants. WHy doesnt he just do it at the...

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

    Yeah..the rants are all familiar....Heh I remember people saying 3E didn't feel like D&D to them. /shrug

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

If D&D tanked enough that Hasbro would sell the rights ( which seems unlike since D&D has more value as a brand name than and actual P&P RPG) or even licensed, I would be very curious about what a White Wolf version of D&D would be. ( If scarred lands are any evidence of this then I say it would...

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

I concurr, Pathfinder maybe the best thing that has happened to Paizo and it may actually keep em alive and well in the business for a long time. As for replacing D&D , there is no chance. And even if 4E tanked, then there will be 5e and so on and so forth.

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

Heh and here I thought that was you equating a killing bullet with the OGL. Maybe you should revisit ( by the wayback machine) ENworld back then a re-read all the hate posts and self selecting sample polls. Heck even try to find the old Wizards forums posts regarding 3e. I see no big...

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

Yeah because OGL killed the prospects of 4E and 5E and any other further editions for the foreseable future. Yeah, because Forum polls from self selecting samples = Hard Market data. So you mean to say that the internet did not exist back when 3E came out? Not even a rec.rpg.group before...

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

Besides the OGL, what else is different? Can you expand more on how the fallout has been vastly different? (As for my credibility I have as much as any other random anonymous poster on a web forum.)

Pathfinder on the bookstore shelves? Forked Thread: The 3.5 renaissance!

If 4e went down and somehow all my books dissapeared and the notion of a 5E would be considered apocrypha by the Theocracy, I would not turn to pathfinder as an alternative. If anything I would dust off my Rules Cyclopedia or would go with an alternate system conversion. Are they really? where...

3.5 high level woes and Paizo's hand in it.

Cool, but lets not wait 3 months for that. There has to be some forumites that have already experienced epic level play in 4E. Anyone wanna share your experiences?

3.5 high level woes and Paizo's hand in it.

Well IMHO I dont think this will be the case, a huge ( and common factor) regarding earlier posts was the huge ammounts of actions between players. In 4E no matter the level you still have 3 actions ( standard, minor, movement) at level 30. Even those powers that target multiple opponents do so...
