So they've said, but when they revealed their 2023 releases, I didn't see any new settings. Maybe they are waiting until the release of the new core books.

Still based on something else, i.e. Critical Role. I like Wildemount and pretty much all the settings they've released, but none of it was created without some kind of prior development. I'd like to see what the team can do when creating something completely original.

Wild Beyond the Witchlight and Journey to the Radiant Citadels seemed like risks to me. But I agree about creating a new setting. I would love to see a brand new original setting just for 5e, much like Eberron was for 3e.

I must admit that as an adult, I have a hard time reading the novels without occasionally rolling my eyes. But they were magical to my teenage self. I'd like to recapture some of that magic. I'm not sure it's even possible, but I'd like to try.

There’s a lot of reasons that a woman might be called Goldmoon besides her hair color. I know that’s the reason stated in the book, but it need not be so. I think you could leave the essential parts of the characters intact while giving them more of an authentic indigenous portrayal.
