what do these foods taste like?

Not quite. Blood pudding is akin to our local dish Wurstebrot, whereas Blutwurst has a different consistence. Blutwurst is served as a classic sausage with bread, Wurstebrot is fried and served with potatoes and salad or vegetables.

    The Force Awakens full trailer

I fully expect our local cinema to offer a Star Wars Special: episodes 1-6 running until midnight, and episode 7 directly afterwards. Well, 20 years ago I would have been part of it, but nowadays?

What's The Deal With D&D Translations?

So, the name "Dungeons & ÄDragons" has been translated for other foreign editions than German? I always assumed that TSR/WotC/Hasbro wouldn't allow that. All the German versions since 1983 retained the original name.

What's The Deal With D&D Translations?

I don't get this "still in use" discussion: all these trademarks are still in use as long as the trademark owner publishes stuff using it. And Hasbro/WotC still publishes "Dungeons&Dragons". Whether it's in your native language or not doesn't have any effect on the trademark, or does it?

    Ending Viral Disease

Upps, my would should have been a could. Anyway, it sounds to me like he couldn't convince other parties to fund the remaining work.

How 3D Printing is Upending the Miniature Industry

And luckily I'm in no need to hurry! My ole D&D minis are still good to use, but - boy - to be able to print a mini modified to look exactly like I want... Godd times ahead!

    Ending Viral Disease

Searching for the guy's work yields this from 2011. Looks like his research is going much slower than hoped for, with only three new successful tests in four years. Maybe MIT and funding institutions lost patience with him. This could mean that his work's prospects aren't as good as they read in...

How 3D Printing is Upending the Miniature Industry

The Kickstarter gives the numbers as 0.50 per wall section using a 1 kg spool of filament based on current (?) prices.

Maybe you can select a free option when selecting ads? Like, you can print the dungeon wall with a commercial poster on it.

What's The Deal With D&D Translations?

The translation itself is the smallest part; handling it in a professional way is where the problems arise. Even before you can send your text to a translator, you have to work on the terminology. A lot of terms in rulebooks have to be defined in the target language beforehand. You don't want...

D&D 5E Troll Lord Games Goes 5e - A0 The Rising Knight -- Adventures for 5th Edition Rules

Uggh! How many lines does it take in a two-column layout? It doesn't actually look like a statblock but like an italicised full description.

D&D 5E The use of Monster Stat Blocks in Adventures

Well, I for one prefer the 4e way of bringing all the mechanical info of an encounter together in one place. Let's face it, there's no sensible way you run an adventure using or referring only to one place. And if I have to use (at least) two different information sources, it's most convenient...

Now you can laser your face

A further step towards the laser sword! The idea sounds compelling, but what about the hard to reach spaces like directly under the nose? The device's design doesn't look like you could move the laser-emitting strip over it. Guess I forego the option to be an early adopter.

    PATHFINDER COMBAT PAD Returns

Well, some of our shops do carry it: f-shop. You only have to rack up an order of at least €80 to have them ship to your small kongdom. But then it's free...

How many people do you know who haven't switched to 5e, and why haven't they?

My group and I haven't changed to 5e and probably won't in the foreseeable future. I run a 4e campaign which will end sometime next year. A friend will continue her 4e campaign after that. So it may be two or three years until I start a new camapign and select an edition or different game...

    Ravenloft, Where are the fans?

I've run the original Castle Ravenloft once for my group - with mixed success. The players found the experience so bad that they shied away from everything with the name Ravenloft on it. Ten years later - and with only one player from the original group around - I ran Night of the Walking Dead...

Sword Coast Legends is not D&D

Hmmh, Pillars of Eternity for the BG experience, but does it offer NWN-like building as well?

D&D 5E Question about Fantasy Grounds and pricing

Another thing of note: the Ultimate License covers your whole group; players don't have to spend anything extra, install the demo version and log in to your game. Alternativley you can have each player buy a Full License for $39 per player. This might get interesting if you wait for some...
