    Which one, Droid vs iPhone?

Don't get the .0 version of anything. Wait til June for the new iPhone, then wait 3 months for the .0 version to get debugged (and for Apple to cut the price in half). But that's September at that point. So wait until November when surely some new driod phone will be out. But wait three months...

    Maptools question..

You just do Map > New Map in Maptools. The new map does not replace the current map. You then use the little globe in the upper-right to switch between maps. Anything you have in your Resource Library (tokens) can be used on any of the maps in your campaign.

    Virtual Table Tops: Specific Features

And the benefits of an active user community is shown: If you say the program can't do something that it can, somebody can correct you. Thanks Merkuri, that was a big help!

    Virtual Table Tops: Specific Features

Wanted to run a few games before commenting: Maptools takes care of the 5 specific things I wanted and seems stable. It has some glaring omissions in features (easily, exactly scale a map, change the image on a token, save tokens back to the resources, easily move all players to a map), but it...

    Virtual Table Tops: Specific Features

Having gotten frustrated with Klooge, I'm looking at changing VTT software. Specifically, I'm looking at software that can do these things: 1) Work for a 3.5 game 2) Easily import a map from an image and set a scale for it. Bonus points for unbounded maps. 3) Be able to enter a character sheet...

Remote Desktop To Rule them All?

Does anyone have experience with using one good computer as the family computer and then having every in the family connect to it (from their crummy computer) for their computing needs? As opposed to everyone having their own "good" computer? It would seem to have some advantages: * Rather than...

[Petition] We want the Game Table Back in Development

Why? What is WotC going to offer us that Kloogewerks, Fantasy Grounds, Battlegrounds, Maptools, OpenRpg, and ScreenMonkey don't?

Poll & questions: Favorite Virtual Tabletop for D&D 4e?

Not at the moment. But since the DDI output is XML and the Klooge character sheet is XML, there's nothing to stop someone from doing a conversion (other than the legal restrictions coming from WotC). I do a conversion in DM's Familiar from my database format into klooge format (which, as an...

Poll & questions: Favorite Virtual Tabletop for D&D 4e?

You left Kloogewerks off your list. There's a 4E definition with it which means you can type in your 4E character and have all the dice-rolling done easily.

    Reccomendation for character tracking.

If it's not a "builder", then what type of "stuff" do you need to keep track of? I think you're on the right track avoiding a builder - non-standard classes with a non-standard ruleset is going to make a builder more trouble than it's worth.

Advice wanted on tools for online RPGing

KLoogewerks would be another java-based option. DM on dial-up though - that's going to be a bit painful when it comes time to send everyone a map.

Virtual Tabletops - The Collectible Game

You should try MapTools as well. And ScreenMonlkey. And OpenRPG. And Viewing Dale. Gotta collect them all! Personally, I use and like klooge.

Which virtual tabletop do you use?

DM's Familiar (my program, not a VTT) can import stat blocks and can then Export to the Klooge format. I do all my data entry in DM's Familiar, click a button to export to Klooge format, and then import everything to klooge.

Which virtual tabletop do you use?

I use kloogewerks. Not the prettiest, not the easiest, not free and occasionally wonky on stability. Seems to have a better set of tools though than the other ones out there: Zoomable map, easy to create tokens, full character sheet to support all dice rolling, quick and easy rolling and...

Comparing Platforms (aka How Does the Wii Stack Up?)

I find the Wii to be a lot of fun for the family. Everybody can play, everybody can enjoy it. We've spent lots and lots of hours together playing Mario Karts and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The Lego games are fun, goofy, light-hearted entertainment. It's fun when people come over: Anybody can bowl...

    Recommend us some Wii games.

Adult for the Wii? Not really. The Wii is about kid fun. The various Lego games (Batman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones) are all fun, entertaining and two player though not particularly challenging. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is another fun one in coop mode, especially good with 4 players. We're...

    Intermittent Browser Outage

Strange computer problem that has me baffled, any help? New laptop, everything is working fine except intermittently the browser loses it's internet connection. Trying to go to any page in the browser - yahoo, google, here - gets a "wait for <website>" message. The outage can be just 5-10...
