The PHB has guidance on typical daily expenditure for each lifestyle level (I'm ignoring Wretched, Squalid, and Aristocratic): Poor 2 sp Modest 1 gp Comfortable 2 gp Wealthy 4 gp AFAIK, these numbers cover everything from food, mortgage, taxes, plus the occasional exceptional expenses...

I found that background to be hugely problematic for a newbie group, much better for them to find out about the Redbrands through play. I have either not used that particular pre-gen, or else I swapped in a backstory from one of the other pre-gens.

Alright, help me out here. I can see all these amazing Elementals but I can't find the downloadable file in which they appear, the main Monster Manual is empty apart from Dragons and Giants....please can someone link for me. :) Thanks!

Out Of The Abyss actually starts with a break from a Drow prison. As written, it's actually rather good, if potentially deadly, and very hard work for the DM due to the number of interactive NPCs. But you could definitely steal most of it for your needs.

I think that's probably correct, especially at higher levels there is often something else you want to do with your Bonus Action.

Exhaustion can result from things other than Frenzy, that needs to be remembered. It just feels unthematic when my guy is Frenzying at half-speed across the board.

I'm sure I am not the first to propose this, but this seemed a simple and thematic offset, especially for higher-level Frenzy Barbarians that get more Rages per day. "The effects of Exhaustion do not apply while you are Raging"

Releasing two adventures back to back doesn't seem make on the surface, however if they were partial sourcebooks as well (see SKT), it could work. Waterdeep: 50% urban sourcebook, 50% urban adventure The Planes: 50% planar sourcebook, 50% inter-planar adventure, featuring many monsters from MGtF.
