That's a good point. I can see how that would be overpowered against solos with lair or legendary abilities. I've updated to allow a pick of cantrips and adjusted the Improved Distracting Cold to require a Channel Divinity.

I dig the Zelazny reference. The Amber series (later books especially) give good adventure inspiration for elemental settings.

In theory this should work really well. Hopefully they can pull it off in a fun an interesting way. One pet peeve of mine with the Rifts system was that Magic was so clearly inferior to Psionics it was so not worth it to play a Magic PC. The trappings of Savage World should fix that.

I've stumbled on a few small changes in the rules. So far the wording is clearer in the AoR books so we use those rules. No actual rules are different AFAIK.

Half elves get a charisma bonus which doesn't necessarily make sense from a genetic standpoint. But it fills the fey charmer niche.

Thanks for the info. My organizing experience was with LG where I GMd a lot and ran a gameday. I only played LFR and encounters so I wasn't sure how it worked. It seems like the retailers are acting as gate keepers which should mostly work.

Re: Certs for home play. How is that to be enforced? If only cons and gamedays can give out certs, how does a WotC know I'm not a game day? Is WotC verifying who is signing up for gamedays to make sure it's just vendors? Can a vendor delegate to a local GM to run things who then takes the certs...

This is the key question for me. Did LG players forgo LFR because of the switch from 3E to 4E? Or was there something specific to LFR that would have seen a loss of players no matter what edition?
