    Alternate Universe Superman Comics

For a different take on things, read the short story "Bolshoiman" written by John Varley in the anthology "Superheroes" written seven years prior to Red Son.

Ptolus: The Prison of the Sahuagin Queen

    I'm fine with it.

    Tropic Thunder goodness

Saw it at a screening a couple of months ago. It's hysterical, and very well done. Great job all around. From the trailers I've seen, it looks like there is at least one scene that was added to the movie that wasn't in my screening (probably added in after the tests).

ABC Family: New Show - Sumeri Girl

I find it kind of funny that the lead is actually of Korean heritage, not Japanese. But maybe it's just me.

    Dark Knight

    Nope. What foreshadowing was this?

    Dark Knight

That seems to be some kind of idiosyncrasy of Nestor Carbonell's. It's bugged me ever since he started to be a recurring character on LOST. As for the idea of Mr. Freeze being a villain in the next movie, I think it's probably unlikely. His abilities/powers seem too far removed from the Crime...

    Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog - Act I is up!

Just watched both parts again; really enjoying this. It's just kind of weird watching part one and seeing all the Universal sets that have burned down now. :.-(

Ptolus: The Prison of the Sahuagin Queen

After Garn and Ada receive their healing, as the group sits together, Vanden hesitantly approaches the half-orc. "Friend Garn, you have been a tremendous asset to us, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside you," he begins. "But perhaps it would be best, in the future, if you leave me...

Looking for Isle of Dread Resources

If you can find it, the module XSOLO1: Lathan's Gold also features the Isle of Dread in it a little bit (though it mainly focuses on the rest of the surrounding seas and isles of the Sea of Dread).

Ptolus: The Prison of the Sahuagin Queen

Vanden bows his head respectfully to the Cogmother. "I require no healing, Most Reverend Mother. But if I may plea for your indulgence on behalf of my companions." He indicates Garn and Ada. "They may appear as ruffians, but these are two of the heroes who helped bring the murderer Longcoat to...

Hancock - has anyone seen it?

I'd say it's a matter of intent. If you're doing a deliberate mislead to the audience (ie, marketing a drama as a comedy), then it's a bait-and-switch. If it evolves organically from the story, then it's a plot twist.

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

Went back and rewatched episode 8, and I'm still convinced River Song's wording could go either way. She makes two comments that directly or indirectly reference his appearance, so far as I could tell. At first she says, "Going by your face, I'd say it's early days for you, yes?" which is the...

    Doctor Who SE04 EP13 Journey's End - SPOILERS

I think it's like the Doctor said- this one was "born" in a time of war, and had to make some hard decisions. Recall that Nine had eliminated the Daleks during the Time War, and it wasn't until (as Ten said here) Rose had an effect on him that brought him out of that mindset. So he's always had...

    Doctor Who SE04 EP13 Journey's End - SPOILERS

More likely Davros himself had a contingency plan in place and survived yet again and can rebuild them "better, stronger, faster." Wonder if Dalek Caan survived- probably not, but that would be interesting to have him go on and working against the other Daleks and Davros.

Hancock - has anyone seen it?

It was okay. Definitely some misleading advertising, billing it as a comedy, despite some funny moments. I thought it had a lot of really interesting concepts and stories going on, but after viewing it have to agree with some of the reviews that say it had too much going on and lost its focus...

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

Possibly. I'd have to rewatch the scene to be exactly sure how it all came across. I do recall at the time having the same thoughts as the rest of you, but then also thinking that it was presented vaguely enough that it could be interpreted other ways.

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

Possibly. I see your point, but I raise you- she might not have known what his earlier incarnations looked like (I don't think the Doctor keeps photos of himself around the TARDIS that I recall), so could have thought that this was a regeneration of him from later in the line from when she knew him.

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

I took her "you're younger than I've ever seen you" comment (whatever it was specifically) to mean that in his current regeneration (Ten) he was younger than the incarnation/s that she knew him in, and not that Ten had just gotten older by the time she met him. I think it was written generically...
