    Hoard of the Dragon Queen

2 out of 5 rating for Hoard of the Dragon Queen There are just to many ambiguous encounters and such. To many things that the DM needs to do as far as random this or random that. To me if I wanted to do that as a DM I would make my own adventure instead of buying this book.

This is a subscription then if you ask me.

D&D 5E How Much Would You Pay for Digital Access?

I will pay a one time fee for the app. 30-40 dollars. Then I will pay for add-ons such as a set of books. 5 bucks for 3-4 splat books (just the crunch not the actual PDF's, unless WotC is not selling PDF's.) If WotC is not selling PDF's then I would pay up to 5-8 bucks for a PDF splat book and...

Tact-Tiles Are Back - Kickstarter Now Live!

There always seems to be someone or they somehow come in the gaming room and then you get the "Oh I am SO sorry speech from someone that uses them on your mat but does not offer to replace them. Or when transporting that vinyl mat it sits in your car in that heat and or cold and it gets wrinkled...

Tact-Tiles Are Back - Kickstarter Now Live!

I agree that there are many more options that are cheaper. In that you are right... but also the materials for those mats are ALSO cheaper too. I have two large chessex brand mats (mondo mats) and they get heavily stained at the best of times with markings and I hate that. I am always trying to...

D&D 5E Kind of confused about the staggered releases.

FJW, If they had planned it correctly we would not have had to wait for all 3 of them, which they could easily have done. This is more of a marketing ploy on their end (I believe) and they are hoping to build up anticipation. The books are already at the printers I am sure and being printed...

D&D 5E Kind of confused about the staggered releases.

Actually Ravenheart, 3.0 was released in the SAME Month. Aug 2000 AT Gen Con. I was there that year when it was. I bought the books as well. Yes they were full of errors and I did not use them to say that they were not full of errors, but that it is not an excuse that having a staggered release...

D&D 5E Kind of confused about the staggered releases.

Asking if this is something to be annoyed about is something that would upset me. It would be like asking if when I ordered fries with my Cheeseburger and getting pickles instead and saying... "is it worth getting annoyed at" Should we bring it to attention of the company? YES!! We paid for...

D&D 5E Kind of confused about the staggered releases.

Actually it is a typical to release most core rule books in the same month as part of the same release. WotC has done this before (3rd ed and 3.5 and 4E.) So They should be able to do it again. Mitigating the errors is not an excuse and to say that is one though. The errors that WotC typically...

D&D 5E Hoard of the Dragon Queen Maps

Actually Ed's novels are NOT always cannon regardless of his wanting to be or not. WotC deviates from them constantly. Ed is a novelist first and setting designer second. So do not use the novels as a guide to whether or not something is in the setting or not.

D&D 5E Hoard of the Dragon Queen (D&D Encounters version)

If they put it in the Basic rules guide then the players themselves will have access to the specific bestiary that the GM's will have access to. That makes little sense to me. I know that they will be able to have access to the Monster Manual when IT comes out but it is not the same. This...

D&D 5E Hoard of the Dragon Queen (D&D Encounters version)

In the "latest" of the basic rules in PDF format. There is NO bestiary listed there. In the Encounters version of the Hoard of the Dragon Queen again the basic monsters (not the 5 listed in the back of the PDF) are NOT in the Encounters version. So it leaves me to believe you will NEED to...

    D&D 5E Speculating about the future of the D&D industry/community in a post-5E world

WotC has never been one to release products slowly and think that is part of the problem is that they release products TO fast. I am hoping that they will start and slow down. But another problem they have is customer service. I am truly hoping that this improves on the forums dramatically. I am...

    D&D 5E Speculating about the future of the D&D industry/community in a post-5E world

It has already changed. it is no longer the face of RPG's that it is used to be. Just because a show features it once in a while (it is something I appreciate too) does not make D&D number one any longer. Regardless if it is Pathfinder that is number one now or not.. D&D in the industry will no...

Crystal Caste Battle top tv tray

Just as a reminder and I DO know this is almost a dead thread but I was looking at the Battle Board and this came up in the search, That if you take Dry Erase markers and run it over any permanent marker it should take the permanent marker off of the mat. Not the lines that were on it to begin...

Aspects of D&D that have made you fed up? The Entire 4th Edition line-up and the rules glut that WotC seems to think that is ok!!

Pathfinder Review: Pathfinder Battles - Rise of the Runelords Miniatures

Hmm I guess the Gold Ennie the H&M set got this last voting period agrees mainly with me and not your view point. Not to mention the fact that the DDM line is defunct for a reason. Mainly cost effectiveness over quality and quantity. There was a ton of complaints over the quality of miniatures...
