Flat Healing Without Using a Surge--Infinite Daily HP?

I really don't see the issue here. It's not though. It's a totally subjective call on the part of the DM. So if your players are pulling a "bag of rats" then simply rule them a non-credible threat and be done with it. And as far as Sunburst goes, no it doesn't need to hit a credible threat to...

D&D 4E Tell me about your 4e combats (and 2h weapons)

In my experience individual combat rounds take far less time but there end up being more of them overall. So it's almost a wash in total, but it's way more entertaining.

    Where'd Taking 20 Go?

Except that I wouldn't let players use the aid other rules for Perception. It's very much a personal thing much like a knowledge check, different than lifting a gate or holding the light while the rogue disarms the trap. But that's just me personally.

Stay back! The joy of OAs.

But that part right there indicates that it does act like an immediate interrupt. The action is the enemy moving adjacent. The OA therefor happens before that and much like killing something makes completing the movement impossible.

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

Congratimafrickinlations! He made a mistake, it happens, to all of us. Except you apparently. You'll notice (since you're so good at reading and comprehending) that it was during his second run through making the first one still mostly valid, asked in a post where he was asking for...

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

We're all still learning the rules. And finding and fixing the problems, some of which we're all likely to run into, is both fun and educational. So until you've got your own absolutely error free combat report to post put a sock in it.

    shuriken a superior weapon?

It's only good for rogues since it does d6 for them. Which makes absolutely no sense because a shuriken certainly isn't doing as much damage as a thrown dagger. But it works out mechanically so long as you ignore the fluff/physics.

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

Ah, see what you mean. So yeah he'd take full fire damage and no stun.

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

Actually because it also has the fire keyword it would still work. Look on pg. 55 where it says that immunity to one keyword doesn't protect against all the powers other effects. The T should have taken half damage from it but still would have been stunned.

    Some questions from actual play

Yes, you hit the target (singular) and then do Str mod damage to an adjacent enemy. No where in that does the adjacent enemy become a primary target of the power or get "hit". No biggie other than you're making a fairly drastic balance change. Cleave and Reaping become much much more powerful...

Weapon focus and Astral Fire do they stack?

By the RAW does it stack, no. Would I let someone stack it since the feats are doing very different things, one increases weapon damage and the other radiant, yes.

    More feats, fewer choices

True, you can never stop min/maxing without removing all meaningful choices. Every time you throw up an impediment it simply becomes part of the system that's being min/maxed.

    More feats, fewer choices

I think you answered at least part of your own question.

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

The wizard blood mage power Destructive Salutation was the save to end stun power that T failed to save against multiple times. The wizard apparently had spell focus which makes his effects -2 to save against. Plus the rogue used his "you fumble" power to make sure he failed in the second round.

    Sundering and Disarming

Disarm is a Fighter power called Exorcism of Steel

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

The problem doesn't seem to be saving against most things, but rather stun effect specifically. I could see automatically downgrading all stun effects to daze effect on Mr. T to keep him from being completely locked down like this.

    D&D 4E 4E Sample Combat: The Terrasque

No, but Thirteen Baleful Stars does which the warlock casts earlier in the same turn.

D&D 4E Careful Shot vs Twin Strike....No Contest (4e spoilers)

It offers versatility over basic attack. It's just plain worse than the other at-wills. Same thing with Sure Strike. Both of those abilities seem to be balanced on the same scale as basic attack rather than their fellow at-wills.

Thank you very much for this.

D&D 4E Careful Shot vs Twin Strike....No Contest (4e spoilers)

Yeah, just read Battle Pyre. As written it seems completely broken. But at least there the intention is pretty clear. You hit them all with the primary and then once this turn and every turn you sustain it you make one secondary against someone affected by the primary. RoB on the other hand...
