Hrm. I could see that. My broader point still stands though. We saw Dragon in 2D and didn't feel like we lost out on anything.

This, How to Train Your Dragon, and Alice in Wonderland were all 2D films that they rendered into 3D using a new technique. The technique is good but not great. I'd advise avoiding any of these types of movies in the 3D format.

The movie was totally awesome. The story was good, the animation was great - they continue to improve their craft with every movie.

I was about to doubt that, but I check teh googles and yeah, you're right. Holy cow. NYC and LA could go even higher. They did say that the $20 was for 3D IMAX, not just 3D. We watched How To Train Your Dragon in 2D, it was a great movie. 3D is fun, but except for Avatar, it doesn't really...

Jacob "touched" Sawyer the day of Sawyer's funeral. In this reality, it would seem that Jacob never had that chance, and thus Sawyer's future was changed. In one reality Sawyer turns to the law do deal with his grief (and possible revenge), in the other he turns to crime.

We don't know anything about Widmore's relationship with Jacob, if they even had one. We know he was an Other, and he was eventually banished from the island, and wants to go back. We don't really know his motives for returning, either.

My impression is that Jack and Sarah's marriage would have been too recent to have a kid as old as David. In the Sideways, they'd have to have been married further into the past.

Final episode was good, not great. It felt like they needed 2 hours to tell the story, but only had 1 hour to do it. It felt rushed, but the story resolutions were pretty good. The Echo/Paul storyline was sweet and creepy at the same time.

You should be just fine. Epitaph 1 doesn't directly involve the main characters, and takes place between last week's episode and this one, and is more about the thoughtpocalypse in general.

I haven't seen this week's episode (7 & 8), but why did the senator do what Rossum wanted him to do? When we last saw him at the house with Echo, I thought that he had free will.

Spectacular Spider-Man is the current incarnation and is very good. Season 1 is out on DVD, as an entire Season 1 set, and as separate volumes. Spectacular Spider Man Season 1 (via Amazon)

That was one of the amazing things for me: the writing style was bleak, just like the situation they were in. Actually, I felt a lot of sympathy for the main characters...my son is about the age of the boy in the book, and it made it easy for me to relate.
