Getting in on this late in the game...
Giants and giant types are the biggest hole in my mini collection I want to fill. Ogres, trolls, fire giants, hill giants, etc. They're very difficult to buy as singles.
My favorite:
D&D 3.5 edition. Based on the amount of nods its getting here, it appears to be a rather unknown gem :D. Anyway, though I appreciate other system's attempts at making magic more dangerous/gritty/flavored etc I generally find the D&D system works best functionally.
That said...
I'm amazed no-one has mentioned Se7en. That's pretty much my favorite, though some of the classics like the Big Sleep, The Sting, are quite good. And I always thought the Usual Suspects was unremarkable.
Sounds like the end of a fun campaign. I hope you post a play-test review.
ON an unrelated note, Merric, is 3rdedition.org going offline as I saw earlier? If so, do you have plans for your miniatures information site (and your other stuff there)?
Title says it all. I"m in hte area visiting a friend and would like to find a good one before heading home. Emphasis on d20 stuff and D&D Minis.
THanks in advance
Wow, congratulations to the White Sox. Well done. Man, I"d love to be in Chicago right now. There's gonna be a heck of a party. No city values its championships like Chicago.
Hm, having forgotten that Roper is the guy who replaced Siskel on that show, I thought that 'Roper' was something to do wiht D&D, hence I was intrigued...
Apparently the US released a DVD version of Jewel of the Crown series has an appalling transfer quality. I've really wanted to pick this up, but have balked after reading reviews on Amazon. A Region 2 version was released this year and it's much better apparently. One more reason to invest in...
Perhaps I'm asking a dumb question, but any reasons why this is? I mean, all stereotypes of Gamers aside (and this thread is doing a bit to foster the bad stereotypes), it's suprising to me that broader-appeal items like bestsellers aren't stolen more. Though perhaps its an issue of scale.
That would seem to be the next logical step. Perhaps it depends on sales fo the previous two, though given than WotC products are planned over a year in advance (18 months or more I believe) I imagine that if WotC plan to do one it's already slated.
Wow, baseball drama at it's best. A three-run homer with 2-out in the 9th!
THere's nothing more dramatic than a late homer that silences the home fans. GO CARDINALS!!
In Russia McD's does a 'Home Fries' varient that's much nicer than the standard fries. Thicker pieces of potato, less salt, closer to 'fried potatoes'.
