D&D 5E Dont know where to post this, but looking for feedback.

Oh, I had in mind my suggested edit from a few posts earlier, +2 strength and +1 to two others. With that change, it becomes comparable to half-elves. (superior darkvision, +5 speed, 1 good resistance & 1 bad resistance) = (darkvision, fey ancestry, 2 skills), in my opinion.

Honestly, I don't think vision+skin is too much. No active abilities, no skill proficiencies, and radiant is so rare it's practically worthless (except to add to the flavour). Compared to other races, I'd say this is about average, which in my mind is a good thing. Less powerful than wood...

D&D 5E Arcane Shot (Int mod) times per rest?

I'm finding the arcane archer is lacking a certain "oomph". 2 arcane shots per rest seems underwhelming, even if you don't lose it on a miss. Would houseruling it to (int mod) times per rest be balanced in your eyes, or verging on power creep?

Pretty cool. I'd suggest changing their ASI to the following (based on the half-elf model): "Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 2, and two other Ability Scores of your choice increase by 1." Your fluff says that all nephalem are incredibly muscular, but as written I could...

D&D 5E How does one "Champion"?

Thematically, I think you answered your own question! Taken apart from your actual play experience (which does sound frustrating), that sentence you wrote is an excellent character synopsis. Mechanically, shield master is great, and is even better with Champion as advantage from prone will give...

D&D 5E How does one "Champion"?

I am currently playing a 13th level sword-and-board human champion without feats, and I am unexpectedly having a ton of fun with him. The simplicity of the play-style is really allowing me to focus more on what my character is doing, rather than what statistics I'm employing at the moment...

D&D 5E What monsters might one find in Feywild?

Eladrin hunting parties (Winter or Summer court) chasing down displacer beasts with their blink dog companions, gnomish (or svirfneblin) guerrillas rebelling against fomorian slavers and their cyclopes henchmen, hag covens feuding with corrupted treants and their blights, and all sorts of...

D&D 5E Homebrew Cleric Domain: LGBT Domain (Positive & Respectful)

Lv 17: Anti-Hostility - I'd suggest adding the charmed condition, the phrase "targets must be able to see or hear you", text about what happens after the duration (do they remember being charmed, etc), what happens if you or your allies attack them during the duration, and limiting it to once...

D&D 5E Rating Wizard Traditions at 2nd Level

Arcane Ward: 8/10 Free hp. Cast alarm as a ritual, no spell slot lost. Otherwise, shield, counterspell, and banishment are great spells to use. Extra hp is boring, but extra hp is good. Minor Conjuration: 4/10 One free, glowing, magical-yet-mundane object, with restrictions. Better for...

D&D 5E The one Round Giant Fight

In my experience, 5e encounters vs solos are more like shotgun duels than drawn out brawls. Even dragons don't last more than a few rounds when a mid-level fighter can action surge for ~60 damage. That giant encounter actually sounds neat. Gets the players thinking "wow, that could have gone a...

    D&D 5E Tortle sneak peak.

Shell defense: shame that the rules don't line up with the intent here. Shells are supposed protect against predators trying to bite you. Prone makes it easier for predators to bite you (advantage on attack rolls > +4 AC). Isn't advantage generally considered to be equivalent to +5 to hit? Would...

D&D 5E A Knife in the Dark, A Rogues Handbook

Huh. I thought the multiclassing was the general (concerning all classes), and the Arcane Trickster was specific (concerning one subclass). Oh well, at least now it's much simpler for me to determine spells known!

D&D 5E A Knife in the Dark, A Rogues Handbook

Arcane Trickster: "Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the wizard spells you know with another spell of your choice from the wizard spell list. D&D 5E A Knife in the Dark, A Rogues Handbook

The weird thing about AT/Wizard multiclassing is that its value heavily depends on what level you multiclass at. Your first wizard level gives +6 1st lvl spells known. Every other wizard level gives you +2 spells of your highest spell slot level. So, if an 18th lvl AT takes one wizard level...
