And the same is happening on the other end. It's all speculation until we actually see it for ourselves. The only issue is, as pointed out up thread, most people don't use Dndbeyond or 5e.

That's what I'm wondering. As far as I know there's only one sheet (the 2014 sheet) in beyond. I was just curious if we will be able to choose what sheet we use at character creation.

I wonder if you can toggle between 2014 character sheets and 2024 character sheets. I'd be surprised if there isn't an option for this considering how many character sheets are on Dndbeyond.

These characters are new to a good portion of the D&D audience.

Do the posters saying 5e24 is a new edition think the Pf2e revisions are a new edition? They roughly have the same amount of change and they assume you get the new core books to replace your old core books.

Didn't they remove spell schools and alignment, along with redesigning some core classes? I've seen some comments about these changes compared to the original PF2e release. I don't have either book (5e24 or PF2eR) so these statements aren't facts but observations I've made reading and...

From what I can tell the revisions are about on par with one another in regards to PF2e revised and 5e24.

I wasn't on these forums back in the day so I must ask. Did 4e and Essentials get this much discussion about new edition? At first I thought the Essentials books were just pocket editions of 4e until I looked into it further.

Wait...has this not been the long rest rule the whole time? I'm still worried about weapon masteries but I'll have to see them in play to see if they slow us down.

There's definitely some "oh, cool!" moments but I agree with you.

It looks cool but I don't see this as the end of D&D as we know it as has been prophesied.
