Help me plan my character progression!

Wands of CLW or Wands of Vigor can cover all your out of battle needs. When making builds you might want to think about the long-term and how this build will do in the future. My suggestion would be not to weaken your build for RP reasons.

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

I don't consider it overpowered. It certainly is optimized although my own preference is for an incantrix. I find that the incantrix can contribute more to the party with their various abilities than an IotSV. The IotSV while it has good defensive abilities has no offensive abilities outside...

Another reason to wear them. ;)

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

Well, IotSVs are tough to beat and when I came across the Seven Veils set I thought this would be the perfect thing to defeat IotSV and I wanted to share this with the boards.

Help me plan my character progression!

Here is my critique of your build: You have lost three caster levels from taking levels in fighter which works to the detriment of your caster levels. Your have taken a number of crappy feats: Two-Weapon Fighting Two-Weapon Defense Quick Draw Divine Metamagic (Retrained Dodge) <---Note...

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

You can reply to the thread but nowhere in my original post did I ask for a more optimal means of defeating IotSV's. Of course, feel to to post that you think it is inefficient and situational. My post was not meant to be a single-post alert but I did want to post my thoughts on a strategy to...

I don't think what you said was unrelated to the OP. Feel free to discuss these things.

You seem to have misunderstood the purpose of the OP. My OP was not asking a question. It was making an observation.

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

And the two veils we are concerned with here only cost a total of 18000 so it is not that expensive. I don't see how it doesn't refute what you said. You said it is an issue of opportunity cost. I proved that the opportunity cost is not that high. And as far as your not seeing optimized...

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

First, all the veils are not necessary. You only need to protect yourself against the indigo and violet veils, the others you can simply save against and/or take the damage. Also, on page 233 of the MIC, it allows you to add different magical abilities to magic items to create for instance a...

    Searing Light

I would just like to say that to rule that aluminum doesn't exist in D&D is one of the stupidest rulings anyone could make. It is completely arbitrary and is only designed to put an end to player creativity.

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

It seems like a handy item to have just in case you are presented with such a situation or even prismatic spells, with no IotSV around.

help me find a prestige class

You would need another feat which you don't have but Spellguard of Silverymoon is a good one, it's in Player's Guide to Faerun. This guide does some good analysis of the different prestige classes: http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=9749.0.

D&D 3E/3.5 Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (3.5)

I was thinking of a way to defeat an Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil and I thought of the set Seven Veils in the MIC. Each veil in that set gives you immunity to one of the 7 prismatic effects.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Nerveskitter (3.5)

I was reading the description for immediate actions and it says that you cannot use immediate actions when flat-footed. Now at the start of combat you are flat-footed so does that mean that you can't cast the spell nerveskitter (The Spell Compendium version) which gives a bonus to initiative...
