I just wish they would put more technical and concise version of the spell in the stat block. Then everybody would be happy. The same spell but easy to read at a glance. I'd actually even put that in my char sheet if I was playing a spellcaster.

I would agree that some of the ultimate line is not really appropriate, and I find the Ultimates comic very unpleasant to read, but Ultimate Spider-Man in particular is an ideal comic for young teenagers.

Ultimate Spider-man by Bendis and bagley is a really good introduction to comics and is fun and well written. Joss whedon's Astonishing X-Men run is also very good.

I agree with this. I'm not american and I have have trouble picturing distances in feet. Also, its inconvenient to divide all distance by 5 when using a grid.

I also find that with the monsters low hit bonus, high AC character are very difficult to hurt

Picard carried that show through season 1. It gets much better from about halfway passed season 2 onwards.

I use the average damage a lot when I dm. It makes my turns very quick even with a lot of monsters on the board and I can run a game with a single d20.

I ran Death in Freeport for some guys at the office and it went over really well. may try out the rest of the trilogy.
