    Monster PCs

I've played a flind ranger (way back in the 90's, 2nd edition), one of my all time favourite characters. It was balanced, and I roleplayed it. He couldn't go into establishments with the other characters, and, he was outcast by his own kind as well for being with the party. That side of it makes...

DM/Graphic Designer with too much time on his hands...

Should also add, I printed them on heavy photo paper, so they're not flimsy, either!

DM/Graphic Designer with too much time on his hands...

Yup! You can see them in the first photo! Pennies on all of them. Been through it before without weight: one heavy breath, and everyone gets blown down!

DM/Graphic Designer with too much time on his hands...

I have a D&D Insider account, so I have access to all the artwork, the rest I just find online. None of the artwork is mine, so no real art talent is needed. The only helpful skill has been Photoshop. For instance, removing the rock from the Silk Wyrm image, or reattaching the Tareks' arms in a...

DM/Graphic Designer with too much time on his hands...

Just thought I'd show off what I've done for my upcoming Dark Sun campaign over the last two rainy days between jobs. I've got 100's done, with more to come...

    Dark Sun miniatures solutions

Thanks, I do! Because I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, I always try to have a very visually strong experience for my players. I illustrate weathered/stained maps for the players, draw out inked maps on poster size graph paper, and custom print dungeon floor tiles. It is alot of "DM homework".

    Dark Sun miniatures solutions

Most of them are. I just take everything I can find off the internet. As I said, I have a D&DI account, so that's a huge resource.

    Dark Sun miniatures solutions

Yup! Think I've used pretty much every Brom image out there that could fit into the setting.

    Action Figure Party

I always preferred the solid PVC(?) figures. I had almost the entire collection. I loved them. Wish I held onto them! Those would have been good to use.

    Dark Sun miniatures solutions

Dark Sun is a great setting, but there seems to be pretty limited support for miniatures. Here's a sample of my solution: card stock miniatures. I literally have 100's of these (with pennies taped to the base for weight/support). They do the job fairly well, T, S, and M size creatures all get...

New Line of D&D Card Counters

Thanks, hadn't seen those before. However, I can't say I'm a fan of either companies artwork. Also, I didn't see variation of the same thing. For instance, if I produce 30 orcs, you're going to see 30 different orcs. But regardless, they haven't done anything different from what I've already...

New Line of D&D Card Counters

Hello, new here, and I thought I'd see what the gaming community thought of my idea. I'm a designer/illustrator that's been playing D&D since the early 80's. I realize as great as a table full of painted miniatures look, it's not always practical. I've been looking at the 3 existing card...
