They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

I'm afraid that the overlord, like the queen will lack a shared ability.

They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

The next one is the sliver overlord, and then it is on to more original slivers, like the aquatic (waterbreathing and swim speed), the shadow (shadowblend), the vampiric (undead with a vampiric touch like abilitiy), and the half-sliver template. Unfortunatly, I am having trouble with the...

They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

And we have a weiner...ehr...winner! Basically, indevidual slivers are smart enough and self-sufficient enough to still function should the sliver queen be eliminated. Additionally, some of the smarter slivers, most notably the other noble slivers (brood, essence, magma, synapse, toxin, and...

What makes a creature be a certain type?

Aberration: Alien of mind or body. For example, the Elan from the XPH is an aberration even though it looks human, because it's mind is strange and different. Creatures such as Beholders and Illithid-Kin are aberration because they are strange and alien in appearance. Basically Aberration means...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

That's what I thought as well, why should the Shadow Dragon be the only one whose natural armor is larger than it's HD? Yeah, but 19 people, come on! Someone should have had something to say. :D

    Creating Rock Dragons.

Well, if you have downloaded and looked at the slate dragon, you would see that I have decided to give the rock dragon a natural armor bonus equal to their HD+1 rather than their HD-1 which is the normal for dragons. I like the stoneskin idea. But I have no idea on how to connect it to gem...

They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

The mnemonic, mind whip, and synapse slivers are all psionic. Most of the sliver queens psionic abilities can be exchanged for spells of similar level and power. mental barrier for example could easily be exchanged for greater mage armor (from Complete Arcane).

OD&D Which Mystara/OD&D monsters should be in an article for Dragon mag? (Poll #2)

I have voted. I would also take this oppertunity to point out that the Lava Ooze has been officially converted to 3.5. It can be found in Sandstorm.

OD&D Which Mystara/OD&D monsters should be in an article for Dragon mag? (Poll #1)

I have voted, and although I did not vote for the dragons, I am interrested in aquiring their stats so I can convert them. Also, a small note regarding the Leviathans. I suggest that we rename them to Leviathan Worms before sending them in, so as to not cause confusion with the MM2 Leviathan...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

I don't think a rage in the barbarian sense is a good idea. However, giving it rage as a spell-like ability usable a number of times per day is. As for the secondary breathweapon, it's a cone of glittering disorientation gas (glitterdust and confusion combo). It is mentioned on page 1...

    Creating Rock Dragons.

5 HD wyrmling Primary Breathweapon: Line of Acid Secondary Breathweapon: Cone of disorientation gas. Alignment: CN i think, but I'm open to suggestions. Theme: Don't know, but I was thinking it to be a very agressive creature, not necesserily evil, but prone to rampages. Should fit well with...
