    D&D 5E Githyanki Allies

Damn if my players aren't scouring like ants on a picnic on the 5e Facebook pages! I'm prepping the "Incursion Githyanki Campaign" from Dungeon & Dragon magazines 2003+ on the 5e Forgotten Realms and darned if I can't find out what, if anything, besides red dragons, their kin, constructs...

D&D 5E Seeking details for 5e Neverwinter beyond SCAG.

I nabbed the Neverwinter Campaign Setting on advice that it contained little real rules and was 75% descriptive fluff. I loved it. At the same time Wizards started their 5E playtesting so I set my campaign there, using the Campaign book as the guide. As part of playtesting, I managed to nab...

D&D 5E Has anyone fought and killed a Tarrasque?

Back in Second Edition one of the greatest memories the group had was the accidental wakening of the Tarrasque is a colossal underground cavern. The battle raged and raged until they realized they best they could hope for was losing half the party. So they devised a way to use spells and alchemy...

D&D 5E LMoP - Help with Ideas for Conybery (mild spoilers??)

Because I did too - in the Neverwinter 4E hardcover. "During the Spellplague, a portion of Abeir imposed itself upon the Village of Conyberry. The terrain-altering effect of this transition forced the inhabitants of the village to come together with people dwelling in the regions of Abeir to...

D&D 5E Bright Lights Big City

“You go to spend a few days in the city…what do you want to do?” The DM utters those words and you get two kinds of responses. Either role players with invested characters jump right in and get busy, while new players or those playing barbarians or those just intimidated with the options sit...

    D&D 5E Giant Insects?

Right, while 5th Edition Foes doesn't have the giant ants specifically they do have a great selection of giant bugs. The giant ant stats in Quests of Doom vol2 were spot on. WotC also had giant ant queen, giant ant worker, and giant ant drone in the D&D Next bestiary if you still have access to...

    D&D 5E 6-8 encounters/day - how common is this?

To the original post - it varies. Outdoors much less so but I have run 5e dungeon crawls where the group can easily do 6-8 encounters (not all leading to combat) within a day. When possible, I do combine rooms or combats so they are more worthy, and cut back on the quick obvious slugfests.

D&D 5E Cell Phone and Electronic Etiquette at your 5e Table

I have a spellbook app and in it I've created the spellbook of my dwarf wizard, I only use it to look up spell details. As a DM I've come to know and trust the players using cellphones or tablets are using an in-game app or feature. Otherwise it's frowned upon.
