    Multidexterity/multiweapon fighting

Hi all, I am going to be playing in an evil campaign and I will be playing a rogue who will be working his way into the Fang of Lolth PrC. If I take ambidexterity and two-weapon fighting at 1st level, do they convert over to the multidexterity/multiweapon fighting feats, or will I have to...

    Known Spells and Un-Knowing Them

My understanding was that when you gain a negative level, you get -1 hit, saves, etc. for 24 hours. After that 24 hours, the character must make a fort save or lose the level permanently. In which case, the character loses xp and the level as if he had never gained the level in the first...

    Known Spells and Un-Knowing Them

Yes there is a way... Get yourself level drained until you lose the known spell. Then when you gain another level, you can add a different known spell. Otherwise, I guess you'd need a wish.

How do you defeat a Grey Ooze?

Easy... Cast Protection from Elements (Acid) on your main fighter and let him go to town on it. He and the rest of the party (using ranged attacks) should be able to kill it before the spell runs out.

    Another Spring Attack Question

I'm gonna disagree with everyone now... :) According to the FAQ, it says that you CAN move before or after an attack and not draw an AOO from that opponent. It says you CAN, not you MUST. This allows you to avoid AOOs from reach weapons when moving in to attack, attack and retreat without...

Spring Attack and other tough questions...

Hi guys, I have a few questions that recently came up in our game: 1) Ok, Character A has spring attack and is attacking Character B in the following diagram. XAX XBX XXX Now Character A now moves counterclockwise so that he appears as follows: XXX XBX XXA The question is, does...

THE ANSWER TO: What does "does not stack with" mean?

OK so... Suppose the following predicament: A character (BAB 9 with ITWF) has 2 weapons of speed and has the haste spell cast upon him. An opponent is 30 feet away. Can he use the haste partial action to move 30 feet, then use the full attack action (two primary attacks and 2 secondary...

    Countering Harm

Some harm defensive tactics: 1) Spell resistance. Get something with a ton of spell resistance through either natural ability or spells. 2) mirror image. Touch the wrong image, charge goes poof. 3) undead illusionist. Use illusions to give the appearance of being alive. He touches undead...

    Sultans of Smack

Nope, that's right. :) In order to get to dragon toughness, you need a Base Fort save of 11. The fastest way to get there is by multiclassing with all the classes which give +2 fort save in their first level. Going pal 1/rang 1/cler 1/barb 2/ftr 1 gives you a fort save of 11 at 6th level and...

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

I just added this Smackdown to the Sultan's of smack thread. I modified it again and squeezed out another 3 HP. Total HP is now at 669. :)

    Sultans of Smack

The Hit Point Super Soaker. This isn't so much a smackdown but a min/maxing of HP: Dwarf with 20 con, start lawful good align, switch to neutral good at 3rd level Levels (max/avg HP at each level) Level 1 paladin, feat toughness, 13/13 HP level 2 Ranger 10/5.5 level 3 cleric, dwarf's...

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

Found a slightly better way... I changed the last 2 levels from fighter2 to barb and sorc. Dwarf with 20 con, start lawful good align, switch to neutral good at 3rd level Levels (max/avg HP at each level) Level 1 paladin, feat toughness, 13/13 HP level 2 monk 8/4.5 level 3 cleric, dwarf's...

    Maximum HP for 20th level?

According to the DMG, the maximum inherent bonus to any stat is +5. So the forsaker can only put 5 of those stat bonuses to con. Let me try something different: Dwarf with 20 con, start lawful good align, switch to neutral good at 3rd level Levels (max/avg HP at each level) Level 1 paladin...

    MotW: Forsaker

The writers explicitely stated what was forsaken (Spells, spell-like abilities, and magic items). Twice. Unless there is errata or a sage clarification to the contrary, I will go with what is written.

    MotW: Forsaker

I'm not disputing that supernatural abilities are magical. I'm saying that since they are not included under the list of magic abilities which are forsaken that they are allowable to the PrC. If the writers wanted supernatural abilities to be forsaken, they could have stated as such.

    Cleave Whirlwind Combo

IMO, the easy fix for this (for those who think the GC/WWA combo is too strong) is to only allow a number of cleaves equal to what a BAB would normally allow for one opponent. For instance, if you have a BAB of 11-15, you can use great cleave up to 3 times on one opponent, because that is how...

    MotW: Forsaker

I think this PrC is pretty well balanced if coupled with a normal melee class. I think it's just ugly when you combine it with a 13+ level monk. A monk13/forsaken2 has a SR of 35! And throw in immunity to poison and disease, wholeness of body, ki strike, etc. And since the monk relies on...
