WA, Seattle (Lake City) Play or DM

Yes, 3pm on Saturday would work fine for me (most weekends). I also agree that a preliminary get-together to meet and discuss would be a good idea. Thanks. :)

    Orb of Confusion

A person from a different forum was kind enough to point out that it should be "emanation" rather than "burst". Thank you.

    Thark (Green Martian)

I used the tribal name from the ERB book for the name of this creature. (See the credits section at the bottom.) Thark Huge Monstrous Humanoid Hit Dice: 5d8+5 (27 hp) Initiative: +0 Speed: 35 ft. (7 squares) Armor Class: 16 (-2 size, +3 natural, +3 hide), touch 8, flat-footed 16 Base...

I live in Bellevue, WA. and I'm open to gaming on weekends. (I already chatted privately w/ Kamosa about his thread.) Thanks. Bio: gaming c. 20 years, mostly as a player; interested in D&D v3.5, HERO, or GURPS; mostly Fantasy & Sci-Fi groups. :)

    Deceiver Devil

I think the Strength bonus for secondary attacks is usually halved, and it's also got one more feat coming. Perhaps Deception? Otherwise it looks good.

    Evil Warlock

One other thing: it's based on a pact with evil powers, rather than being a true Wizard-like class. So spell books are useful but not mandatory. The class should also get the enhanced familiar feat for free.

    Evil Warlock

I need a class (not a multi-class or PrC) for an evil warlock. I'm thinking along the lines of a class that allows only necromancy, divination, illusion, and universal school spells, certain transport spells such as teleport or plane shift, plus the cleric spells from the Death, Destruction, and...

    Orb of Confusion

Orb of Confusion: A crystalline sphere small enough to hold cupped in the hand, this magical orb glows with a faint white light that illuminates the frosted, colorful surface. The exterior displays a mesmerizing panalopy of shifting colors and hues, resembling somewhat a puddle of water coated...

    The Omega Horror

For melee attack I get: base atk +15; size -1; Str +11; guided weapons +8, for a total of 15-1+11+8 = +33 Am I off somehow?

    A netbook of beasties

Well that's odd, most of the book is in Times Roman font, which is very common, plus some Arial. Are you getting a particular error message? Perhaps your download was corrupted? Are you using the latest version of the Acrobat Reader? That might help with the font substitution.

    OD&D Converted OD&D vermin

Unless I'm mistaken, the skill ranks don't match up to the ability modifiers plus skill bonuses for the Tarantella Spider. For each of the spider special abilities with a save DC, it's normal at v3.5 to also list what ability the save DC is based upon. That's useful, for example, if a monster...

    Elementalist Class Brainstorming Thread

Oh in the mythological, pagan-worship sense of elemental spirits: gnome/salamander/sylph/nymph. Perhaps I've read too much fiction... shrug.

    Elementalist Class Brainstorming Thread

I think the Druid is much closer to an Elementalist than a Wizard. Elementalism is a type of spirit-based magic, more akin to what Druids practice. So I'd recommend making a Druid variant that allows certain spells from the Sor/Wiz list and disallows others from the Druid list, based on their...
