From memory of old, 4e had a problem where fights were grinds because monsters were a bag of hitpoints.

For low level monsters? Sure stream line them. Mid to higher level monsters? No thanks, I want more complexity and options. I don't want them to be one trick ponies

I buy adventures to break apart. Use a town here in one module. An encounter from another. Ruins from a third. And so on. it’s great to reuse old adventures from 1st to 5th. Or OSR and oD&D. Hell I use one shadowrun book for D&D
