War of the Dead is a better example of a Savage Worlds adventure path than a Plot Point.

In a nutshell, yes, it's analogous to an adventure path.

I have some diversity in my gaming groups, but am perfectly fine with portraying imaginary races in a negative light, so long as it is being done to provide recognizable hero-fodder and not as a veiled statement regarding a real-world culture, gender or sexual orientation.

I think that, after seeing how intrusions work, I prefer Fate's version of using compels. I don't dislike intrusions, if course, but just prefer compels.

I believe that it reflects human psychology very accurately. Humans have always had the ability to nonchalantly hate and ridicule and attack any group that they can "dehumanize" or otherwise rationalize as being "evil".
