D&D 4E Wizards to be like Fighters in 4e!

Merric, did you neglect the next sentence on purpose? Quote from Mike Mearls: That last bit was a complete brain fart, but I'll keep it in there to check to see if anyone is paying attention. Cue rampant rumors that wizards are becoming fighters in 4e.

Multiclassing: "Any combo, any level, always works."

Yes, because trying to make a more efficient and/or sensible multi-class system will make us all stumbley-wumbleys. You nailed it....

Warforged: Like them or loathe them?

I love Eberron and I think that's where Warforged belong. I think they're a great race--for that setting. No core Warforged for me.

    Living Campaigns

Concise and accurate Majoru, well put. I had an opportunity to speak with Ian Richards from the RPGA at the Penny Arcade Expo a couple weeks ago. He said pretty much what Majoru put forth. In a nutshell, trying to convert LG in the guise of a reboot or some form of conversion document would...

Some D&D Insider bits (Update 9/13: Lots of new info)

My understanding of everything I've read regarding D&DI would indicate that the minis roll up into your subscription cost and they're tied to the books you buy. The idea of virtual minis that are A) random and B) something you have to buy seperately is just too freaking silly to imagine...

    Why is it so important?

I'd say it's due to the lag time after encounters. Who wants to wait a day between each big encounter? It leads spell casters to "over husband" spells too. I know I do it sometimes with my cleric. I think having a system that allows for a few big per day abilities and some mild to...

New tidbit about spells and hit points.

Aside from the mindless anger and screeching over the percieved pokemon-efication of D&D, what a great thread. 1. A form of the condition track for D&D could be good 2. Abilities tied to said track could also be good 3. Changing beholders so they are not so save dependent could be good (I...
