The project will fund regardless of the feelings of a few folks here and in the YT comments. Goodman Games has a solid track record for delivering solid products and running good crowd funding campaigns. I'd bet my next couple of paychecks on it.

I am a minimalist DM that leans more towards the OSR - so the handouts, extremely in depth descriptions of everything, etc... are not for me, but I really do appreciate and respect the communication from the Gooey Cube folks here. That's not something you see often.

Yeah this exactly. Same goes for drow and orcs of course. Good thing we still have the old books to use both physically and on D&D Beyond and that they remain compatible.

The simple way to avoid any of this controversy would have been just to have a template or a brief list of species specific abilities to paste onto the bandit, gladiator, or whatever statblock - for orcs, halflings, dragonborn... whatever.
