Monsters & More: An In-Depth Review of the 2025 D&D Monster Manual

Not sure if I am clear on this - so there will no longer be stats for humanoid "monsters" like duergar that include their inate abilities like enlarge? Also aren't goblins, kobolds, etc also playable? Why the selective nature of the stat blocks? I guess I will just be using the old statblocks...

Monster Manual Suggests Changes Are Coming to Some Playable Species

Funny isn't it? That's bad... but burning people to death with fire, melting them with acid, having them devoured by a swarm of insects... not bad. Silly WotC.

Maybe check D&D Beyond and get back to me.

Monster Manual Suggests Changes Are Coming to Some Playable Species

I've been wondering about that. Kenku are now monstrosities... ditto for Yuan-ti. Goblinoids are all fey. There are other examples I am sure. Satyrs, centaurs, genasi, etc. It definitely makes some spells less useful or more situational at the very least. I am curious to see if orcs are even...

So Much Art From the 2025 Monster Manual

PF is just trying too hard to differentiate itself from D&D at this point.

So Much Art From the 2025 Monster Manual

I love Delicious in Dungeon and it's take on both orcs and kobolds.

Here Are 2025's Most Anticipated TTRPGs... As Voted By You!

I'm just glad to see Dolmenwood on the list. Necrotic Gnome is amazing - nice to see some OSR goodness. Could care less about Daggerheart, MCDM, and 13th Age.

Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd Cover, Synopsis Revealed

This looks bad, as have all of the recent D&D tie-in novels. I will admit I haven't read any of them so I could be wrong. Am I secretly missing out?

Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd Cover, Synopsis Revealed

Chris Perkins and James Wyatt Answer Burning Questions About the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide

Exactly this. I feel like the sidekick system was a great answer to the old school henchmen/hirelings. It worked well, and now I can't do anything with it using D&D Beyond.

Chris Perkins and James Wyatt Answer Burning Questions About the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide

This post needs more traction. This exact situation came up when I was running Sunless Citadel a few weeks ago. Both Erky Timbers and Meepo the kobold have joined the party as NPCs. I pulled up the sidekick rules to manage them... and there is ZERO integration as far as D&D Beyond is concerned...

Worlds of Design: Why Buy Adventures?

I buy them because I have too much going on in my life and not enough time to craft my own. That being said, I do embellish them - often times very heavily to the point where sometimes they are no longer recognizable.

New Look at Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Red and Black Dragon Revealed Via Bookends

Not a huge fan of the black dragon design, but the red looks good.

Classic Comic ElfQuest Returning to Tabletop RPGs

I stopped reading when the blogger stated they hadn't actually read any ElfQuest comics. Their opinion lost all credibility for me at that point.

Classic Comic ElfQuest Returning to Tabletop RPGs

If it is just a reprint then I am likely not interested. If new stuff will be include (as in the TMNT reprint) then I am onboard.

ElfQuest TTRPG Returns For New Printing

I owned it back in the day (just the base boxed set) and was a rabid fan of the original 20 issue run of the comics. As I got older and more jaded, I found I couldn't get into the newer stuff quite as much and have never actually finished the series as a whole. The initial Wolfrider Saga (first...
