    Why would you summon elementals?

Is there an errata for this that I missed? My Tomb and Blood clearly says on page 57 No one said Elementals are outsiders. But it would work for this prereq.

    [OT] Don't buy Mitsubishi!!

The defered payment isn't that great. I work for a company that does a lot of car loans. We do new, used, and refinancing. I've delt with people who took the defered payment from Mitsubishi when they started it over a year ago. After the year was up, they'd get their letters and qualify for...

    Ranged touch attack question...

I would, because the -4 is to represent you're trying to hit the enemy and not your ally. Disrupt undead vs a living creature is useless, but the -4 is their because the chance of hitting the ally is there.

    Why would you summon elementals?

Why would you summon an elemental? Because you want to become an elemental savant and use it to make peacful contact with an outsider from the plane of your chosen element :D

PrC that lets you become an elemental?

It gets these "wizard" abilities because its a PrC designed for wizards (or sorcerors), since you need to be able to cast at least 1 3rd level spell and have 2 metamagic feats, and 8 ranks in 2 knolwedge skills.

Threat on a 3 or better?

"Creatures With Class Levels" (page 14, MM) is not a variant rule, but a Core Rule. For one thing, its in a core book, and for another, unlike variant rules, the word Variant doesn't appear. For an example of a variant rule(s) see page 64 and 65 of the DMG. I count 6 that say "Variant." Unlike...

    Psionic Rules problem?

so let's see, he's level 12 and used 2 powers. He basically used 100% of his resources. Then what does he do with the rest of the fight? Or if he misses his touch attack? Pick his nose?

Wizards, Alertness, Familures, and the Alienist

Does a wizard with a familure meat the requirements for the Alienist? or does he have to take Alertness? And do the effects stack from having a familure with alertness and having a familure? Thanks

Wondering how important computers are to D&D [rant]

I use MS Word to write out my DM notes. I have horrible handwritting, so this way I don't have a problem reading mid-game :D Aside doing some research occasionaly, I don't come to the game with a computer. Though the DM for my sunday night game uses computers, it doesn't interfer

Whats your opinion on the Point Buy System

And I am the opposite. (Except it is balanced). I tend to roll REALLY good (generally 5 of 6 stats are positive mods, with one or two in the 16-18 range) and one between 7 and 11. Then again I tend to allow (and when rolling had played by) a reroll of your lowest roll. In my FR game I did a...

Improved Sneak Attack: good, bad or broken?

worst case scenario I come up with it adds +20 damage. worst case on 10d6 is 60, worst case 10d8 is 80. 80-60 is 20. unless your idea is different than mine (all 6's or 8's on the die roll)

Improved Sneak Attack: good, bad or broken?

Was going to say that. Of course, I could see having the restriction of not being able to take it multiple times, where as you can take the epic version multiple times to discount the worry of repeating an Epic level feat

Improved Sneak Attack: good, bad or broken?

No one said you could take this feat multiple times, Aloïsius said it would be worse if it could be taken multiple times.

Improved Sneak Attack: good, bad or broken?

If the rogue flanks, they get SA. With quicker than the eye they have to use a MeA and only get one attack. If they have 1 or 2 other attacks, they give those up for the possibility of doing a SA (roll to bluff, roll to hit AC, might bluff, might not; might hit, might not.) And its harder to...

Improved Sneak Attack: good, bad or broken?

I agree 100%. Even taking it TWICE is overpowering. dealing twice the sneak attack damage (d8 becomes 2d6) is WAY to powerful.
