I think we will see divide and conquer strategy. It would be foolish if Wizard of the Coast didn't approach CR and make a deal in order to have them with them. The same probably will apply for one or two big players. I am not support it, but it wouldn't surprise if we see Mercer supporting WotC.

They will not have any problem. I am sure they contacted Wizards before they make their move. It is a win - win case, since CR is a living D&D advertisment. The most successful one. Ever.

So, this will be a Yawning Portal pt2 or the adventures will be reimagined and adapted to the rules of 5e? I really hope for the latter, because in the Yawning Portal there was no effort to adress the old problems of the adventures.

Exactly this. This is the reason why i think dmsguild alone is not the solution for the other settings. It must be something more. I don't know what will be, but i think wizards will cover all the other setting with one "stroke" and supplementary will open the ip in dmsguild

Ι would love something like this, but I don't find it likely. They could do something like that with Al Qadim, but as we saw neither Jeff Grubb, neither Wolfgang Baur, or anyone else took the opportunity to make material for 5e.
