    Fear Spell, Wand Caster Level

My bad on the 2 saves vs 3....still though, frightened is only slightly better off than panicked. The only real difference is that you drop what your holding if your panicked. You still have to flee at top speed and even use magic to escape if it is your only avenue of escape. The quote...

    Reach Weapon Build?

Yeah...ummm RKV...have to be worshippers of We Jas, which requires an evil alignment. That doesen't sound like 'fluff' to me. Not to mention the number of builds that show up on the character OP boards with RKV levels. You can posess the cool weapon for RP reasons, but is it really so good...

    Nightsticks

I can go with that. only 1 nightstick allowed to affect you/day...period. I still think it caters to divine persistant spell a bit much, especially with extra turning and a 1 or 2 level dip someplace to get the undeath domain. 15+charisma bonus turns a day.

    Fear Spell, Wand Caster Level

And with a Dual wand master, It's especially nasty. If you're already shaken and you suffer an effect that causes shaken again, you automatically become panicked. You get to use 2 wands of fear, they become panicked automatically, even if they make both saves. Doesen't fear have a hitdice cap...

    Range of bite/claw when enlarged

That's a pretty serious gimp of not letting spell casters research new spells....Researching spells IS a part of the core rules. They even list learning spells from dragons as a flavor example. Does he also disallow any and all customized magic items that are not specifically listed in the DMG?

    Nightsticks

You should just ban them....if you allow feats that useturn attempts for other abilities other than turning undead these things are broken broken broken.

    Healing belt from MIC

If your DM banned the book, then approach it a different way.... Say to him...How much to create a belt with 3 charges per day... The MIC is a great book IMO, even if a lot of the content isn't necessarily useful. At the very least, it's a treasure trove of neat ideas for customized items.

What are some ranged healing spells?

Wow, that's a -really- neat spell. I like it a lot! I'll have to ask my DM if I can learn that with my healing specialized cleric. -2 level adjustment on Mass cure light wounds for 10g per head :)

    Augment Summon with wands?

Isn't greenbound summoning that rediculous feat that lets all your SNA critters cast wall of thorns and a bunch of other stuff? Honk if you get queasy around broken things...-honk!

    The True Vorpal Weapon

It's a very small step to settle on requiring the confirmation roll....It's one giant leap to TAKE AWAY the confirmation roll from the regular weapon. 4 attacks a round = a 25% autokill chance? That's WAY too strong. The confirmation roll is there for balance. It's to make it harder to...

New group, high power, my ranger/scout needs to catch up.

If the fighter in your party has like 130 hitpoints, and its a 28 pt buy game, are you a few levels behind everyone else? A level 10 fighter would have to have a 16 con and roll max on EVERY dice roll to have 130 hps. Normal would be more like 90hp for a 10th level fighter with 16 con. How...

    Do You Use Metamagic Feats?

... I'm playing a wizard who actually took widen spell...But I specifically wanted to play a wizard who could lay waste to multiple opponents with big area spells. Which I'm well aware is not the most optimum use for spells...But it sure can be fun. He's 18th level, Wizard8, war wizard of...

    magic weapon spell question

But you'd be silly to Pay for such an enchantment on a regular ol masterwork quiver...Quiver of Ehlonna anyone? With 1/day GMW. BTW, items that cast GMW at high caster levels essentially break the normal wealth by level guidelines...ie...they are cheezey as hell. Because they inevitably lead...

    Rapid Spell and Nature's Ally

It takes a full round action.....Note that that is not the same thing as 1 full round. As a full round action, you get to cast the spell, and take a 5 foot step(or not). The critters you summon appear at the end of your turn and act right after you do. Unless someone is right next to you as...

    XP for Traps?

I don't exactly see the problem with rogues being a designated trap finder? Unless they spend lots of skill points, a decent amount of cash, and all the time involved in searching, then they are going to have a chance to miss finding them, and even if they do find them, they still have to be...

    Quick magic item pricing question.

Items that must be held to activate are not consodered slotless.....Slotless items can be used as long as they are somewhere on your person, in a pouch, backpack, etc. Please don't tell me you think rods staves wands scrolls and potions can be activated from inside a backpack! I dislike the...

    denied dex?

comprehensive, no. But I can think of a few thing offhand. Being Flat-footed Being flanked, not technically denied dex, but also qualifies for sneak attack. Failing a sense motive check against a feint. Being blinded, stunned, Held, or paralyzed Being attacked by an invisible or hidden foe. If...

    Steal Spell

Slippery slope there.....thieves stealing from party members. Even if the archivist is allied with the spellthief, he is almost certainly not 'willing' to have his spells stolen from his mind. So the only way the spellthief could take a spell from him would be to stab him and take advantage of...

How powerful is abilty SA things usually immune to SA?

Those prices seem too high to me. Also I dont think rogues(or anyone else) should be able to sneak attack swarms...ever. That just doesent make any sense, lol. Except maybe creatures with the trample or crush ability should be able to squash entire swarms....Or people with +5 Flyswatters of...

    Sneak attack against prone opponents

The only effect being prone has is -4 on attack rolls, and +4 bonus on opponents attack rolls to hit you, and I think ranged attackers actually get a penalty to hit you...no mention of dex penalties, so no sneak attack. I believe that you do get the +4 prone bonus to hit him on both your free...
