    Kickstarter.com - etc.

I'd be game for a pledge, especially if I could get an NPC named after/by me... I have many ideas, and one in particular seems apropos to the feel of the setting... :p

D&D 4E I wish we had Magic artists for 4e.

My favorite Magic artists DO do artwork for D&D - Prescott and Reynolds. Is it surprising they both have done prominent Eberron artwork?

Sentinel Druids of Autumn & Winter

For winter, I'd end up including Verminous animal companions, too, though that is mostly because of the Children of Winter druidic sect in Eberron. :P I like the idea of short lists of ACs to choose from based on seasonal choice.

What does your ENWorld name mean?

Siberys is one of the dragons in Eberron's creation myth. I'm a huge Eberron nerd, so when I first registered on the Wizards boards in late 2004, I used that. I've used it ever since. Unfortunately, people have a terrible tendency to misspell it Syberis, much like the seeming compunction to...

Sentinel Druids of Autumn & Winter

Just a thought; due to the Raven Queen, ravens have a heavy winter association within the fluff. Maybe that'd be something to draw on? Move the raven to winter and make autumn an elk or a fox, perhaps? I can tell you, around here deer are certainly associated with autumn. That's when they start...

Would you prefer it if your partner said you were a great GM, or great in bed?

Girlfriend posting-dude your wife is awesome. D4s hurt like hell! But can be fun if used correctly.:D;)

Would you prefer it if your partner said you were a great GM, or great in bed?

This is his girlfriend speaking.-I'm sore from both.;p

So, Dark Sun: It's officially out. What do you think of it?

One of DS's inspirations is Barsoom, and that definitely has muscley men rescuing scantily clad women.

Would you prefer it if your partner said you were a great GM, or great in bed?

I believe some posts by myself and my SO on facebook triggered this poll. I want my SO to think highly of me, no matter the subject area. IMO, she's just sore about some rulings I made during our last session. :p SO: Post using your SO's account. ==> I love my boyfriend very much even...

    The Canary riddle

In the bestiary, the 'familiars' entry should have a suitable avian. A modified Raven, as suggested above, would probably be best, but I honestly don't think you need stats for something like that. I mean, it won't be attacking anything during fights, will it? A question, though; do you have...

So, Dark Sun: It's officially out. What do you think of it?

Last I checked, a mekillot looked like a giant chameleon with broad, ram-like horns in 2e. That's the pic in the revised setting, though, as I recall. I like that picture best, personally.

Idea - Restrict or Remove Feats

Good point on the ability score increases. I may have to remove those... though that screws with feat prereqs... I DO want to keep feats, just reduce how many there are and remove the combat focus that they have.

Idea - Restrict or Remove Feats

So it is closer to +1/2 level to damage. Ah well, my players won't mind the bonus damage. ;)

Idea - Restrict or Remove Feats

Yes, I do intend for level to be added to damage. GW does this, and pretty much every feat that adds to damage has been disallowed. It should balance out, and I don't mind giving a little more damage than normal to high-level PCs. Is it still too much? Would half level be better? As for...

Idea - Restrict or Remove Feats

DESIGN GOALS - Eliminate the huge list of feats to slog through, especially considering most feats do pretty much the same things. - Make feats a flavor thing as opposed to an optimization deal, if possible. - Reduce feat gain REASONS In prepping my house rules for a possible game this...

D&D 4E [4E Players, mainly] Ever thought of defecting to Pathfinder?

No, it doesn't. TBH, on the monster builder front, even if it did have it it'd be nearly useless. Monster building in PF is much more art than science. I mean, it's more art than science in 4e, but numerical stuff is very 'tight'. In PF, the guidelines are so loose a light breeze could blow 'em...

Which edition change changed the game the most?

I don't really have experience pre-3e, but I have yet to have any difficulty converting a character from 3e to 4e. It only fails to work if you're married to the mechanics, and even then it's usually a non-issue. I have a player who loves PF barbarians, but hates 4e barbs. It's because 4e barbs...

Which edition change changed the game the most?

Eh, you're getting into semantics there. I was referring to 3.x, and in 3.x, all weapon attacks were essentially the same - at-will basic attacks, for lack of a better term - that were modified by feats and occasionally class features. Greylord covers my points in significantly more detail...

Which edition change changed the game the most?

I know it's been moved past, but weapon attacks, at-will SLAs, and some of the later class' class features (warlock eldritch blast, frex) are specifically what I was referring to.
